I have the same two watches. I put the "President" bracelet from Uncle Straps on one and I find it more comfortable than the Tudor Oyster. I am planning on purchasing the same one in your video to switch out the Tudor bracelet on my other watch.
I have the BB58 Blue on a bracelet and just can’t seem to get a good fit. I’m currently waiting for a dark blue sail cloth strap to be delivered and hopefully that will look good. Bracelets have never been my preference and think on the fly adjustment is a must for me in future
I wear my BB58 on a Forstner Model J jubilee bracelet. Best $165 I've ever spent - it is a beautiful bracelet which classes up the Tudor and is both vintage in appearance and modern in its construction, quality and comfort.
It's a really classy choice indeed! And since Tudor released their new BB in Burgundy on a jubilee bracelet, they seem to have a similar opinion as well :)
With so many of the new Tudor Black Bays now offering the T-Fit clasp, I am hoping they add that type of bracelet to the BB58 in next year's release. Having an on-the-fly clasp adjustment makes it so much better.
Will keep this as a great reference for when I get my Black Bay Saving up right now and after watching your other video, I’ll be getting the black one. I tried both on today as well and the black one spoke to me… However I know one day I’ll also get the blue haha
@garyhilton656 I am seriously considering pulling the trigger on the Tudor Ranger Bracelet. My AD already said they would sell me one by itself. My question for you - is it the same silky smooth quality of the original Tudor black bay 58 bracelet, but just without the rivets, tappered, and with the T-fit? Sadly, the Forstner Model-O is just not a high quality feeling bracelet to me. Maybe I got a bad one of the bunch.
@@harrisonvanandel9435 I'm absolutely with you, I love the Forstner, but the quality feel is definitely lower than with the original bracelets. Though it is quite comfortable.
I love the Model O from Forstner, I have one on my BlackBay 41 and one on my Black Bay GMT. I also have their Jubilee and alternate. What I don't like with the stock bracelet is that it has far too few micro adjustments and so I couldn't find the perfect fit, the Forstner solved that for me. I really wish Tudor sells the t-fit bracelet in the future.
Absolutely, that would be amazing! But swapping in the Forstner for some different styles and the comfy fit from time to time would still be loads of fun.
@@mowatches Yeah, I haven't work the stock bracelet in about a year since I discovered the forstner straps. And I forgot, I absolutely loves how it tapers.
Very good. I ditched my Tudor bracelet on my gmt. Great watch but that bracelet was the most uncomfortable I have ever experienced and I also hated the no adjustability of it plus those faux rivets look so stupid. I spent the best £110 on an uncle seiko jubilee which has transformed the watch, in comfort, looks and made it lighter. Strongly recommend this bracelet for any watch.
Idk what it is but I haven't been able to get my 58 to fit my wrist properly and have been going back and forth with it and think that I might buy the Forstner bullet bracelet for it. I just wish Tudor would use the Pelagos clasp more. But overall great video!
Hey Jake, you could also try to extend it with an uncle seico half link, check out the tudor ranger bracelet or wait for the new t-fit clasp to arrive for the BB58 in the future. But for the Forstner I can definitely recommend it - I‘ve been wearing them back and forth and eventhough the Original bracelet fits my wrist quite well the Forstner offers a better comfort. Thanks for the feedback :)
I'm scratching my head at the design of the Tudor BB58 clasp. The effective length of the rigid part of the bracelet is too long because of the nonarticulating link attached to the bottom part of the clasp. This leads to the bracelet jutting out at hard angles is you wear it loose and you have a small wrist.
Interesting observation, especially because the clasp itself is shorter than the new T-Fit clasps from both the 54 + Pro and the Pelagos 39. To be honest, because I prefer to wear the watch snug I never realized this (after taking it off I always continue to wear it's impression on my wrist :D). Maybe some aftermarket bracelets could be a sweet option for you then :)
@@mowatches The outer buckle is short but the foldy bit is too long. Add to that a non articulating link and the overall length of the rigid portion of the bracelet is way too long for smaller wrists. A pity, because the smaller 39mm case diameter was tailor made for small wrists. I don't really want to use a 3rd party bracelet because the finishing isn't as good. And really, Tudor should have got the design right, given how much they're charging for the watch.
@@goldencalf5144 Totally agree with you here, but I hope there will be an update coming to the BB58 with a newer finish and also the new T-Fit clasp. Now compared to the other models the clasp falls out of line and with the burgundy 58 having the new clasp as well I'm pretty sure that it's going to happen at some point.
I never noticed that the Forstner was pulling arm hair, but also on the Original bracelet it only happened a few times, so I'd say it's slightly better, though I am probably not the best/hariest reference here. Regarding the spring system thats definitively a yes - the spring only expands the bracelet when you pull on it, so if you wear the watch to loose it won't do much. Best regards :)
Dont bother' I tried Uncle seiko jubilee and even the Tudor Ranger tfit. I later reverted back to the original riveted version. Its just the class in quality that will pull you back to the original!!
Even though I do not own a jubilee bracelet I had the chance to wear the BB58 on it one day and really liked the look, but totally agree with you on the quality aspect here. The manufacturing and precision of the original is simply cutting edge in this price range.
Heyho, thank you so much for the feedback :) totally understandable regarding the rivets. I also put it on an aftermarket oyster band without rivets in a separate video and it looks super sporty and a little bit less vintage, which also fits the watch quite well imho
How big are your wrists? do you find the forstner clasp to be a good size on the bottom of your wrist? Thanks, I have a smaller wrist and am looking for a bracelet that will fit better
I have small wrists with roughly 6,25“ and a snug fit with the Forstner - better than with the original bracelet which has this one not 100% tilting end link at the clasp that always creates a small space between the bracelet and the wrist in certain angles.
@@mowatches you mean the Forstner Model O for the Tudor has a spring mechanism in the clasp.....man...i wish they had that for the Model O intentded for the Omega SMP 300m.
Unfortunately not, because there are little nudges in the end link of the Black Bay Pro bracelet which will impede it to be fitted onto the Black Bay 58. Also swapping just the clasps sadly is not possible because the middle links have different dimensions.
I think it just comes down to personal preference for the looks. Though I get why people would like them to be real, considering the price point of the watch.
Been looking for a video to go over the Forstner bracelet alternative and this video was the catalyst to making a purchase of one! My thoughts- bracelet looks great but the quality sure isn’t the same as the OEM bracelet but it does make the watch much more comfortable to wear for sure which might be the most important thing (to me anyway) as I never had a problem with the rivets. If I could make one adjustment, I would have the flanks polished to match the case of the bb58 but that’s negligible really
I know Im a bit late to the party here, but with the Uncle Straps you can now transfer your Tudor clasp to the substitute bracelet.
Amazing idea, I love it. Thanks for the comment, absolutely appreciated!

Sounds promising. I also really love the better comfort on the Forstner bracelet and some NATOs.

I own both 58s. Both on the bracelet. Love m
