Is camping mostly just completing everyday chores, in a less convenient way? Perhaps…but man it’s fun! Take camp cooking, for example: you’ve got 1/100th of a kitchen to work with, but somehow in this inconvenience of cooking pasta on a one-burner stove, you often find a sense of fulfillment that isn’t there normally.
The ride we’d selected for our first MTB overnigher was the Narrow Neck Trail, a 20km return trip in the Blue Mountains just near Katoomba. The trail can be hiked or ridden, and it follows a ridge to one of the most beautiful lookouts imaginable, which would be our campsite for the evening.

Fantastic. My brother did this with his emtb. He just took the battery out and slept in the hollow at night. Great film!
Such a lovely shots my friend! Brilliant scenery 👏
Beautifully filmed. Gotta do this. Thanks and well done
A look at those racks mounting points, and cable/accessory clearance would have been nice.
100% agree, hopefully a gear review video in the near future for the luggage. I'm thinking this would be a good setup to do the Mount Fainter Fire Trail as a overnighter (Falls Creek to Mount Beauty).
Hey @terrylyons6210, you can find out more about our bag setup in the article on the trip here:

We've also done a closer look on the bag when they first arrived here:

Hope this helps!
This ride is definitely on our to-do list!@@andrewmurphy9292
Is this just narrow neck plateau from K Town? Short ride.
Good luck cleaning the back of your mouth with that 😂 4:06
Was that a designated campsite or you just did wild camping? I cant see any campsites on narrow neck. Cheers!
A very nice trip, but this trail is not enduro - rather gravel.
The problem is with luggage when everything shakes all the time.
