The iPhone 12 was hands down the worst iPhone I've ever had for some reason. It's battery health at 100% still felt lackluster. It's performance was spotty. After trading in for a 13 Pro, it felt like a much larger leap than it should have. This is something I like to keep in mind whenever I'm debating an upgrade. Phones are not cheap anymore, but upgrading annually is just a silly thing to do on your own dime.
I have a 12 & se2020 but I’ve been itching for a mini. The 12 feels too big and the SE feels outdated with one camera and the bezels. Plus I like the newer back camera set up of the 13mini in comparison to the up and down cameras on the 12

Just got an iPhone 13 mini in 'Midnight' color *FOR FREE* and couldn't be happier. Paired with the deluxe Apple leather 'Midnight'-colored MagSafe wallet, the two go together extremely well. Also have the iPhone SE 2022 (3rd gen) in 'Midnight' and the wallet pairs extremely well with it as well. Just needed to purchase a MagSafe-compatible black case for the SE 3 in order to use the wallet with it. Phenomenal.
i love a bigger screen besides the 12 actually has more resolution i don’t care if it has more nits both of theme peak at 1200 nits in direct sunlight plus bigger battery and louder speakers i definitely would go for the 12

Iphone 13 mini is the way to go, if you prefer the size of the 12 then its worth it to just spend a little but more for the regular 13
There’s only a $20 difference between the 128gb 13 and the 128gb 12 so it makes since to get the extra storage and newest model!
I bought the 12 on sale for 535€ including tax. The 13 mini was much more expensive than that
