Is it best to scissor cut my Maltese? Past groomers have used clippers and her hair is so uneven! The last groomer evidently allowed her to get hit in the head or they’ve hurt her with the process on her head. She’s never flinched when I pet her head until her last visit!! I NEVER hit her, no one but my husband and I are around her, and that leaves ONLY the groomer or someone there. I have professional grooming supplies from clippers, many different scissors, down to freshening spray for her. I HAVE TO do this myself now to keep her from being hurt ever again! She’s been hurt by 2 other groomers in my area as well. After my son died and also my 13yr old rescue pit bull, my daughter and grand daughters gave her to me. I love her like I do my girls so I just want to make sure she’s happy and healthy. She’s a well mannered fur baby but doesn’t like to sit still even for brushing and I’m scared to death I’ll hurt her clipping her nails!!! 😢 With her nails being dark in color, how do I know if I’m clipping them too short? Thank you for sharing your grooming videos! OH how I WISH you were in my area!!! I would pay you 200 to groom her! I’ve been paying 80-100 for 2yrs every 4 weeks to groomers that could care less about her wellbeing. God bless you and THANK YOU!! Sorry this was so long. ❤

I watched with such intensity because I'm going to start grooming mine for the first time and, while I feel a bit apprehensive, I'm going to approach it with patience so my pups can feel comfortable too. Maltipoo and Maltese have different coats. The Maltipoo has a mixed coat, it can be similar to the coat of a Poodle, but can be similar to that of a Maltese. If a dog is afraid of a clipper, I teach him to this sound and vibration. I'm putting a clipper on the dog's back, I petting a dog and talk to it affectionately for the dog to get used to sound. Then I start make haircut.
I am VERY impressed with this video...the way you handle the pup is impressive. She looks so much like my Maltipoo pup and I now need to groom her myself because I cannot take her to a groomer in lockdown. It would be very useful to know the tools you are using...thank you.

You can do Maltipoo haircuts from 3 months, trim nails, trim off the hair around eyes. But a full body haircut is best done when the dog 7 months old.

The coat should be ripe from puppy fluff.
Maltipoo is a hybrid breed with a more difficult coat than maltese or poodle.

Да, верно. Мальтипу на линяют. Но их шерсть требует регулярного прочесывания раз в 3-5 дней, иначе шерсть сбивается в колтуны.

When you were doing the razor by the paws in the first part does the razor touching the paw hurt them or is that okay?
