@@shukrantpatil Also honestly I don't think it would be the worst thing if this got put into arcade machines and that the graphical capabilities wouldn't have to be AAA First-Person-Shooter quality. It's kind of a similar situation to VR where, while there are some relatively affordable headsets these days, the price still hasn't hit a level where everybody can experience VR in their home and it's making new non-bar/non-family arcades open fairly frequently in my middling city, also a lot of the keystone VR experiences people play regularly are addictive arcade-style games. If the technology for volumetric display were to remain as expensive as purchasing an arcade cabinet then I would 100% be willing to make regular trips with friends to an arcade to play something like "Volumetric PVP Asteroids." You don't necessarily need it to have the most cutting edge graphics when the point seems to partially be getting your friends to get together and gather around the display instead of play online
"Game" consoles in the 50s used to look as bulky as that, some moreso than others. Now imagine this 30 or 40 years from now. C'mon, Voxon, you are now tasked to blow my mind before that time comes.
Hey, we have created an animation of 'Dejarik' or the holochess before (see a little more here: voxon.co/star-wars-inspired-3d-volumetric-display/ - this was actually the inspiration for the technology :)
What is used to cycle the volumetric display plate up and down *??* Is it magnetism or maybe it's attached to something *??* I believe I saw two post protruding from the sides of the VoxieBox in another video... I've read from some of your other responses, and from that I assume that the VoxieBox is currently limited to how tall it can be. This seems to be because of the current speed of the translation of the volumetric display plate is limited by Voxon Photonics current technology . I'm curious, what other methods of translating/transforming the volumetric display plate(s) are currently being considered *??* Maybe - many - fast moving rotating plates perhaps?
Hi, ok, can see that comment now. Yes, we can go bigger, faster, brighter and have done the R&D on some potential new products & yes, there are some other ways to consider (each having pros and cons). We have some cool stuff in the pipeline so the future is looking pretty good.
We actually love comments like this - it means that what we’ve made is truly unbelievable!! I can assure you that it is real and it looks even better in person than it does on a 2D video.
Imagine playing Super Mario 3D World on that machine!!!
Super exciting 3D volumetric display stormed Tokyo, Japan!
It was a great experience to confirm it with our own eyes!!!!
these days i was imagining "how will future gaming be if the present ones are so realistic and diverse?" and now i have a answer
This thing isn't really fit for gaming except for arcades.
@@helphelphelphelpmehelphelphelp it is still in its baby form , wait for a year or two for it to mature a little .

@@helphelphelphelpmehelphelphelp right, we got the 3ds which is better for single player and nobody cared.

just the beginning :)

You Beat me too it 😅 looks awesome !
So when will you create Star Wars' Holo Chess? Or perhaps Wizard's Chess? Also, what medium are you projecting upon?

The future is so exciting
Love it sooooo much.
I wonder if anybody might apply this kind of display technology into a handheld gaming system...

Look like futuristic arcade
I can buy? Where?

Imagine a proper AAA game on a more advanced version of display. RIP graphics card.
Nintendo will have this down to handheld form by 2035. Maybe sooner.
just waiting on their call ;)
Shut up and take my money!!!!
any way you can show us the game(s) without being displayed on the machine or does the way you code the game(s) make that hard to do?
Mysterio anyone?
If it uses a vibrating display why isn't it noisy as hell?
kindpotato because we are super talented engineers :) - and it’s taken a good ten years of R&D to get to this point!
Science that's why
What is it called I want to buy it so bad
