Lovely footage as usual mate! She sure looked and sounded superb! Nice footage of the run around. Must say I would love on of those lineside flats ;) Interesting to see her being turned! I take it that there's not many of those left in operation. Lovely shot of the departure. Great work and thanks for sharing!

Thanks Callum! Yep out of 84 that were built in the Rx class only one is operational with sister Rx 224 coming back to operation within 12 months. It will be the first time that two Rx's will probably double head since the mid to late 1980s.
Rx 93 is also preserved but only as a static exhibit at the NRM.
Yes I'd imagine you don't have much line side flat runs as we do. It's pretty good because you can get close to the action!
Certainly was a spirited departure seeing black smoke as the firemen shovelled a load onto the fire.
As of now we've only got six steam locomotives operational in South Australia. They include two broad gauge engines - Rx 207 and 621 Duke of Edinburgh and four narrow gauge engines, no. 4 Peronne at the NRM, W 22, W 934 and NM 25 at the Pichi Richi Railway.
Hope this gives an outline of what we have.
When you come over here you'll be presently surprised of how many locations where you can get line side flat footage.
