Heckin Memes ... I was with my parents when they purchased their 78 Cutlass Supreme as a showroom leftover in 79. A good deal for sure under the circumstances, but an especially good deal in the undesirable color of metallic lime green with white Landau roof and white interior and color matched rally wheels. Looking back on it..., that car was awesome!
The Oldsmobile commercial reminds of the scene in The Blues Brothers where they're driving though the mall and Elwood says "The new Oldsmobiles are in early this year!"
2:11 The great Gary Merrill, who was best known as the voice on those famous IBM PC commercials with the Charlie Chaplin "Little Tramp" character. 1:42 The singing voice of the legendary Florence Warner. 3:46 The music in this commercial is the best!
7:20 Wadn't NO body watching "a computer" on their TV in 85. Trust me. Maybe PIP for societies elite, but that 'computer' remark should have been followed up with 'and flying cars' because that was pure lip-service.
Respect for Tony Danza's awareness ad. 40 years later still laudable...
I remember that commercial. The people in that commercial sounded so self-serving. I did not buy their B.S. Not then, not now.
Those Doublemint Gum commercials never get old!
Remember when Gum had the greatest commercial jingles? Doublemint and Big Red were awesome.
What's up my favorite SUPERMAN.

Jason Alexander in the chip commerical before he went bald.

Seeing him with hair will always hit me with whiplash

Yeeeesssss Tony Danza love him
Wow, Costanza!!!
Even Jason Alexander got HIS start doing commercials....................
That discover ad.
That NBC ‘Annie’ promo is from February 1986
I loved the big mini wheats!
George Costanza's hand modeling career was cut short by an unfortunate accident so he went into TV commercials afterwards.
1985 Rocks! Find out for yourself with: THE TRUSTY BUTTER KNIFE!
"No one wants to get robbed by Jesse James".. true story 😆
All of the irrelevancies that have come up in the last 40 years.. Don't forget you are not irrelevant!
Quicksilver is in need of a reboot
I think Premium Rush already took care of that.
I miss the 80s

@9:19 I feel like a psychopath has me hostage and about to have a episode and kill me. Commercials seem scary back then even.
Cartoons was like that too
That doublemint ad.
Was that George Costanza from Seinfeld in the last commercial.
Yep!
3:48 80s women really something else
they weren't fat
If I'm not mistaken, this collection is from an airing of Cosby show AND has a Sheer Elegance ad in it that features one of his accusers. Strange!
yea,how the mighty have fallen. Smh
yea,how the mighty have fallen. Smh
The strange thing is that she didn't report it, if it happened, until 30 years later.
Thing's that make you go 🤔
It took dozens of women coming forward to get anything done. Is it any wonder why she didn't?
The dad from the Ritz commercial was on Seinfeld
Man I swear the 80's had the weirdest commercials ever
nah, the 70s did. and perhaps the 90s. crazy stuff.
I think that award goes to present day commercials. All the drug ads! You can't get them on your own even if you wanted too.
Anyone want to go with me Friday to see Quicksilver?
Not to quibble, but Quicksilver came out in 1986
@@mikehebert6721 you're a moron.
I'm pretty sure Coke is going to fail lol
Jason Alexander selling potato chips?
1985 girls are hotter than 2020
2020.
The dad from the 1st commercial sounds alot like ALF.
O.o amirite? =)
Nope.
George ❗❗❗
6:11 to 6:18 looks like the chick from Muppet's Take Manhattan.
Can figure out the McDonalds commercial demographics....
The chick lifting the glass of coke to her mouth....lol. Not TOO sexual or anything

Back in the early 80s, many computers hooked up to a TV, not a monitor. My TRS80 Coco2 certainly did.
More ads from 1985.
Cool 😎.
Thanks for the trip back in time
