Running with the big boys at 441 Speedway 7/13/24-602 dirt late models

After a month of not being able to race due to motor issues, wreck, and rainouts, we finally had a good night. Made the tough decision to go ahead and move Austin up to the regular 602 divison instead of running the Charger class. Made a bunch of changes from hot laps to qualifying. Austin made fast lap and qualified on pole out of 11 cars! Had a good start to the race and fell into second place. He made consistent laps in second for most of the race. A couple of cautions and restarts towards the end of the race, the car started getting loose, and Austin got shuffled back to 4th. He managed to battle his way back to a 3rd place finish. So thankful for a good night with car & driver in one piece!
