- UEFA says it "vehemently condemns" an attack by fans on match official Anthony Taylor, after he refereed the Europa League Final.
Manager Jose Mourinho has been charged with insulting and abusing a match official, after he swore at Match Officials in a car park, following the teams defeat.

@@Allysus535more than that. Taylor is corrupt. If he is bad then he should be fired. The fact that he is not fired means there is nepotism involved... The other reason for his mistakes(which i believe) is that he does them on purpose. Why always against chelsea for example. If he made mistakes then he would sometimes make mistakes in favour of chelsea... But that never happens.

Having said that, I would like to see Taylor never again referee my team's matches because he showed himself to be absolutely not up to the task in the Europa League final.

Every single match barking and crying about everything even when the referees were on his side 99,99% of the time. One time he played against Sevilla, the referees gave 1 offside goal + handball goal to Madrid and when match finished he got a LIST with all the referee "mistakes" against Madrid in that match. I was in Budapest Airport, and believe me Anthony Taylor brought this upon himself. I checked in behind him and his family and he was getting mild criticism from Roma fans as he checked in. He only had to take himself to gate B, go through passport control and there were plenty of bars and eateries in that area that was free from AS Roma supporters. Instead he went to the main food court which was packed with Roma supporters and sat down right in the middle of them. What did he expect. It was all about Anthony Taylor in my opinion. He didnt care for the safety of his family, he was seeking maximum attention like he always does on the pitch when he officiates a match. Trust me, he could have avoided this, but i believe he sat amongst them for maximum attention. And he achieved what he desired. Only person to blame for putting his family at risk was Anthony Taylor. A megalomaniac.

The managers have a duty to control and set the tone for their players…they didn’t even try, it was win at all costs. Even if that meant diving, or feigning injury to try and get the opponent sent off. It was a terrible advert for the game

Im no fan of Anthony Taylor, or any other referees for that matter. But I don’t get it. The game was abysmal, neither team showed any skill, or positivity to go and win the game. 140 mins of boring football. No red cards, and Mourinho says he’s the disgrace.
No red cards... Exactly. Lamela deserved a straight red for what he did to ibanez because the rules say so. Elbow to the face=yellow card, elbow to the face+blood=red card. Then again he commited another foul that deserved a second yellow and the corrupt taylor didn't give it. Rakitic also deserved a 2nd yellow but taylor gave the card to the sevilla bench instead just to shut roma players up. That isn't how a ref is supposed to behave. His job isn't to shut players up or show his authority. His job is to ensure a fair game. He also didn't give roma a penalty for clear handball.
And the worst is: pellegrini fell in the sevilla area, roma had the ball and were trying to create a chance, taylor stopped the game and gave pellegrini a yellow for diving. 2nd half, ocampos dives in the area... Taylor gives a penalty... Var says there is no penalty and taylor should give the yellow card but he doesn't. In these two episodes he made the mistake of the cards(double standard), gave sevilla a wrong penalty and stopped roma's advantage in attack. 4 mistakes that seem small but are quite crucial. + The penalty, + rakitic red card,+ lamela 2 times red card... 8 mistakes that favoured sevilla
