@ryreinhardt, Dave may not be the greatest "guitar player" that ever lived but I think it safe to say probably the most versatile stringed instrument player that ever lived.

No-one ever asks about his playing with Terry Reid. I remember when he came on stage flourishing his old fiddle, newly painted a startling shade of electric blue with gilt scrollwork applied. Got a spontaneous round of good humoured applause, whistles and cat-calls without even playing a note.

I saw him on In Concert in March 1974 and he played that blue fiddle on the song 'Ready Or Not'. Great mention! Reply if you read this
      TY.

Thanks, Gutensaf--a very generous Lindley/Cooder fan from France helped me out back at the time of my post. I sure do appreciate what I take to be your offer and, no doubt, there are others who will want to take advantage of it (just keep in mind, friends, Mr. Dave rightfully asks a mere $5 for every burn). Speaking of Ry, I just saw a youtube vid of him playing the blues on mando--simply amazing and highly recommended.

Anybody have the Mr. Dave lp (from '86-'87)transferred to CD? I'm more than happy to send Dave the desired $5 as well as you for your efforts. There simply is nobody like this boy.

I closed my eyes and Jack Nicholson was a musician.

Hard to hear because of low audio and high background hiss, but the captions work.

And the award for worst audio, lighting and editing for an important interview goes to this video. What's next jump cuts of black cats at midnight meowing through pillows? This should have been a treasured interview please try it again.
