Came across your channel today. 21 year Marine, still active today. Active woodworker. Enjoy RUclips University. Liked and Subscribed. Can’t wait to have the time to be in my shop more and more. Thanks for putting out the inspiration. Semper Fi brother.

Hey Brother! 21 years wow. I didn't last that long. My hat is off to you. Best to you as you head toward retirement. And I'm glad it's interesting - let me know if you have any ideas for improvement. Semper Fi!

I'm not a military guy and don't come from a military family but I have loved the ideas of challenge coins since I learned about them. I really like the idea of displaying your collectibles and not just storing them for no one to enjoy.

Understand and frankly there are a lot of non-mil coins out there too. Law enforcement and Fire fighters use them a lot and so do many other organizations so collect away and display them proudly. Btw you'll note that two I have on the first tier are not military but from Boy Scouts.

@@30minutewoodshop Oh I would have plenty of scout stuff to show. I have a fair amount of patches. Would be neat to make something that could display patches and make it easy to swap them out. I don't really think they would work in something like this project though.

@CrossPlatforming wow... that is a great idea! I've got a ton of patches too. Let me think on the options. Let me know if you have any good ideas.

@@bluenote6519 I was thinking something like a frame of some sort where you drop them in and out through the top which is open. I remember a few years ago Make Something made a thing like that and you dropped in and out different colored paint chips just for an art piece. I have wanted to make one for a few years for comic books also.

Coins are not so standard any more. They send to be getting bigger and thicker.

True, but the bulk of the Mil coins are pretty common, It's the civvy coins that are all over the map.
