Aie michele, 500-600 malaysian ringit... that's expensive. It's a tpc, I guess you gotta fetch a little bit of money. We lucky in canada, lot's of time we can play for 30-50cad which is around 95 ringit - 160 ringit. There's even promotion that you can play a 18th hole for 20cad. Of course it's not the same venue, lower quality, shorter golf course. Trouble here is you can play only 5-6 month a year. Is 150 ringit a lot of money for a regular worker in malaysia?
Hi. Average income in Malaysia is lower than Canada. The golf courses in Malaysia (of you can say East Asia) are mainly catered for the mid to high income group. For CAD50 to CAD60 you still can play in good courses with a caddie. There aren't many courses lower than that. But Malaysia is still one of the cheaper places to play golf in East Asia. RM150 is quite a lot for the lower income group. The disparity of wealth is high in this part of the world. We count ourselves lucky to be able to enjoy golf.

I think with 2500 for a iron set you do have some choices. I recommend you head out to some golf shops to try some out.
