I used to watch your content so much when I was 14-16 (I'm 22 now). You had an impact on my life via things to play when I was playing Showdown, and helped me overcome some dark days. You reminded me how to be creative honestly, since in high school I was shut down a lot whenever I did anything (school work, Ultimate Frisbee, playing certain video games) from the deepest part of my heart I want to say thank you, I took a lot of big steps to pursue my interests (I stream, I compete in tournaments for the game I love, I found passion in school again) I know I haven't been watching content recently but this appeared in my recommendations and I had an immediate flashback to the good times you brought me. You've got this 💙
For whatever it is worth I watched your road to 25,000 for the first time last year and it introduced me to Mario Kart 8. It also helped me to keep my mind off of the fact that I was sick at the time and worried I had COVID. So, thanks for that. :)

:(( I know you're not much less than a total stranger online, but I really do feel bad for you and yknow I wanted to write a bit, ""parasocial relationship"" analysis articles be damned. So bit of a heavy/emotional word-dump coming. Sorry, fair warning, it's a Lot. Unfortunately I can relate to what you're feeling. I had a like, emotional rock bottom some years ago too; I couldn't afford to keep going to school, which was a really really important thing for me (I wanted to be a teacher, that's how important school was to me), and so I got kicked out of that. Which meant I was suddenly stuck in a tiny town (population of 6000 and shrinking lol) with my abusive family and very little money or opportunity. And my friends just kind of evaporated away, probably because I was no fun anymore. And I basically zombified and was in a deep fog, which you seem to understand. I don't even really remember much of that time anymore, outside of brief broken memories, except that it was really, really bad. And I threw myself into my online spaces for a sort of escape, and I ended up on Pokémon youtube and twitter and stuff at the time when you all were peak active (so you can kind of figure out when this was) and posting all the time. And I would yknow end my nights just sitting in bed, queueing up the hours and hours of videos you all had dropped that day. And it got me through-barely, but it did. It was fun childish-esque nonsense that was never all that serious, and I consumed as much of it as I could, and it was a bright light in the zombie days. And that went on for a very long time, unfortunately. I lost years of my life like that. I'm so much better now, but I can't help but feel sad about missing those years. (Still haven't made it back to school, and at this point I'm not sure I ever will.) So like, I've been there. And I know very much that people saying vague phrases like "Oh it gets better" or whatever well-intentioned platitude there is that day doesn't really help. It's something you have to pull yourself out of, or at least it was for me. But, yknow, if it helps at all (and I think it does, at least a little) there are people out there who have gone through what you're going through, and there are people who understand and can relate and won't judge you or anything like that. Again, I know I know you're something of a stranger, but still, I know from watching you for years and the various brief interactions we've had that you're so smart and determined and driven and very capable and strong and that you can make it through this. You've got people out there who believe in you and who appreciate you, pal. (If you really want to know, though you haven't posted in a year and a half, I still had notifications on for new videos from you and I dropped everything when I got the drop-down that you had posted. Took a fucking hour to write this all out but it's worth it, haha.) Anyway, that's probably more than was ever necessary, but whatever. First of all thanks for the MK8 series, it was such a crucial component that got me through university. Having a few minutes of just good vibes and fun every day was an immense help. Also then I got to meet you and interact with you and you're smart and fun and always growing as a person. This too shall pass :) Also, I'm kind of in the same stage in life and the "i'll bring you some good news next time" mentality is as motivating as debilitating, small improvements are ok and people will accept you not being at your best, just being, without expectation.
