Fans return to Cruel World Festival day after shows cancelled by lightning storm

Lauren Pozen reports from the Rose Bowl, where less than 24 hours earlier the Cruel World Festival came to a sudden stop, cutting off performers Iggy Pop and Siouxsie, after a severe lightning storm was expected to hit the area. Fans were allowed to return to the venue Sunday in order to make up for the missed performances.

It's great if you didn't have nothing to do the next day and sushi wanted to get paid I'm sure... I was halfway to San Diego and they said on the radio that they would make up the last night's shit... I was traveling down the West Coast I couldn't backtrack.... So I seen my cure s second second time in San Diego end of story

Siouxsie all greyed and geriatric is FAR BETTER than any of the younger performers I see today. I could kick myself for missing out on this concert. I hope she goes on tour in the US. I'd like to see her in Florida again.

I had tickets to the CURE this night in dsn Diego.......humsn League..
Was cut short because of the supposed lightning... This night was total BS

Organizers are going to face a class action lawsuit. The weather was never a factor. The lightning was very far away. You couldn't even hear the thunder. Lots of people were hosed. Organizers failed to have an actual safety plan. Fans were forced to leave without any security to help people get to their cars and leave safely. Some people were stuck in the parking lots for over 3 hours.
