As an avid mountain biker for over 30 years I will respectfully offer one piece of advice. There is no such thing as puncture proof tires so please add sealant to your tires and carry the necessary tools and tubes for a trail repair. There is nothing worse than getting stuck miles from your home base. Good luck and have fun!
He didn’t say puncture proof tires, he said ‘puncture resistant tires” and FYI there is a whole bunch of puncture resistant tires out there, I even have them in my motorcycle.🫡
Outstanding! Slim, you go above and beyond with your videos. Gorgeous boondocking spot with beautiful views. Congrats on going electric with (in my opinion) the best E-bike out there. I gotta say, I was on the edge of my seat watching you climb that mountain with all of its loose rocks...but the view from the top was spectacular! The shots of the sky both day and night were incredible. That was a very impressive special effects light show displaying your initials. You seriously put a heck of a lot of work and talent into the making of your videos, and it shows. Thank you for sharing your amazing journey. Safe travels.
My goodness Slim I think you turn this video into a 10 I can’t believe I’m actually seeing this. Holy smokes. Your persistence. And hard work is appreciated. Big time.
Hi Slim my wife and I have had our e bikes for 2 years now. Quick way to put a smile on a retirees face was to buy an e bike. In the desert environment there are NO shortages of the catus spikes to cause flat tires. There are several preventative things that you can do to help minimize them. Tire liners, and green slime are 2 choices. Carry a repair kit with enough tools to fix a flat when it is repairable. Little things like loose bolts on the kick stand and front axel and the little screws on the derailer are things to watch for. Another GOOD thing to buy is a small electric pump , very small and super for flat tires. Not that expensive and very handy. If a tube leak is small you can just pull the tube out and do the repair without removing the wheel. The front tire is easy but a rear flat is another story if it is a gash in the tube then it is impossible to patch. For this reason you should always carry a spare tube. This size tube is not easy to find at a CTC for example. There are utube videos on the correct way to remove the spare wheel if it becomes necessary. These bikes are high on the thieves to do list are ANY security lock can be quickly cut with a cordless grinder. An "air tab" tracker chip is the best insurance to get your bike back when it's gets stolen. We keep ours under constance surveillance here in NB All that said enjoy your new bike. They are a lot of fun and good exercise. Have a nice day. Tom in the Maritimes at the NB-NS border .
I bought a Motiv spark ebike in January 2015 after renting one in Cali. On my second battery and have put 1000's of miles on it. 80% asphalt, 20% off road. Second week I had it I got a flat about 15 miles from home. Luckily I got a friend to come rescue me. Now I carry a patch kit , tools , pump and spare tube in my saddlebags.
Welcome to the Lectric bike family. We got ours nearly 2 years ago. It's great for getting around locally when you don't want to unhitch or the trail gets too rough or narrow for the truck. It is also good for scouting ahead to make sure there is a turnaround for the trailer. Finally, also great for getting to a nearby bathroom in a hurry when nature calls. And the Lectic folks have been most helpful and accommodating.
Well done, Slim. Lot's of colorful content. I couldn't help but think of your obituary when climbing alone over that rough terrain. I sure hope you have some backup, redundancy in case of a broken ankle or such. That would make a good portion of a future video, how I protect myself in the outback. Anyway, we don't want to lose you, so be extra careful.
That campsite was stunning, the night sky was breathtaking, and the climb had me wondering if you were going to bump into Foresty Forest in that magical cave. Thank you for all the work you do to give us these gorgeous videos!
The view from the top of that mountain was breathtaking. Thank you for putting forth the effort to get there. The sunset and night sky was stunning. Brought a lot of peace to my heart.
I miss Arizona. My son was born in Phoenix. That was 34 years ago, and we came back closer to family when my ex got out of the Marine Corp. The night skies are spectacular.
Your videos are so captivating and authentic. Your drone shots, editing and general photography have greatly improved since your earlier videos. The alien looking imposed image was great! Safe and happy travels to you Slim. 💕
Slim…I never seem to be amazed at the quality of your video productions, and am always grateful for your creativity and storytelling skills. Another ‘home run’! Thank you…and safe travels. When do you next plan to come to Idaho. If you think Arizona has great geography, you don’t want to miss the diversity in Idaho. I’m happy to point out a few of the finer points you’ll want to visit.
Slim you outdid yourself on this awesome video with rock climbing, hiking, and cycling. Then to end it with a breath taking light show, WOW! May need to watch again in a week or so, thank you.
I don’t know why I always thought you traveled alone. Was surprised when I saw the bike footage. Someone had to be there to film it. Nice to have someone to share travels with.
You drove right past the exit to my house off the highway. I live in Avondale Arizona. Yes, that traffic is ridiculous! Stay safe out there I would hate to turn on the news to hear a Canadian RUclipsr was attacked by a dancing lizard!
Amazing video as usual. Those framed shots inside the cave were beautiful. I have 2 Lectric enikes. Originally I got the XP2 step through to take in my little class c for running to the store while camped. I quickly found out it was too heavy for me to lift into the class c. I got an XP Lite and that is the one I take camping. I use the XP2 around home for getting around in my little community as it's more comfy with the front fork suspension. I am happy with them. If price were no object I would have gotten a different brand with a more tailored to me frame, but they are fine for what I got them for, which is running errands, going out to eat, grocery shopping and short bike trails. I haven't ridden either of them over 14 miles at a time. That's about how long my backside can take it.
Just found your channel ,loving it ,..also thank you for your service, picking up other people's garbage. and anyone else reading this ,if you've picked up other people's garbage, you're a hero, thank you
We are really enjoying your honest and well made videos - both trial and error moments and those mixed with adventures in natural beauty! We learn new things every time, as we are just now venturing out into the small trailer camping world. Thank you.
Great video! The rock climbing had me on the edge of my seat! Getting up there used to be a challenge, but getting down was much more difficult! Thank you for taking us along!
Slim your video’s just keep getting better and better! Loved the hike, E-Bike experience and the ending with the storm, sunset and stars was the best! Glad you are doing well. Nice to be over that trees down and freezing your butt of section of life you just went thru. Happy trails! Stay safe out there too! 😊
Well Hello Slim, I’m here in S. Florida. Anything over 10 feel in elevation is scary. As a 77 year old man, watching you slip and slide on the rocks made me nervous. It was the feeling I had watching men rescreening the pool cage walking the beans directly over the cement patio or the landscapers stand on top of an 8 foot folding latter with a chainsaw trimming my oak tree. It was a touch unsettling. Best wishes for safe travels.
Your videos are awesome and I love the way you present your travels around the country. Thank you for sharing them with us. Please take care and stay safe 😊
I have hiked lots of mountains and I love the desert views. The air is clean and dry, but thinner the higher up. I always took breaks I want a bike like that one! Nice vid work on the skies! You never disappoint. Thanks, Slim!
Don’t be overconfident about those snakes! I live outside of Tucson and found my very much alive and well first rattler of the season in my yard at the end of January.
Back about 15 years when there were only a couple of factory made very expensive Ebikes avaliable, I built one from a kit. It was only 250 watts but really flattened the hilly terrain where l live. Rode it for a while but always felt guilty and lazy for not being human powered. I love bicycles and the effort it takes to ride one. Gave up the Ebike and went back to peddling. I'm 69 and still in pretty good shape. I'll give Ebikes another try when that changes.
We bought a small, foldable, ramp (like for dogs to use to get in and out of trucks) to help roll our Lectric bikes into the vehicle. It wouldn’t work for you, Slim, but we also bought two concrete mixer tubs to put the bikes in when loading them into our Prius and Van. (We can get both bikes into the Prius!) The tubs let us slide the bikes around in the bed of the vehicles and not be banging them around. Be careful of the Derailer getting bent. But they are fun bikes. Some areas are getting more restrictive about electric bike use, so check regulations.
Wow, Slim Potatohead, your timelapse night sky views of the stars are absolutely mesmerizing! 😍 As someone from Chicago, where seeing stars is a rare treat, your videos transport me to a whole new world. I can only imagine the success you'd have with more of these stunning views. Keep up the amazing work, and thanks for sharing these magical moments with us! 🌌✨
Slim, those yellow flowers you poinedt to at about 9:26 are called Brittlebrush (Encelia farinosa). Native American tribes like the O'odham and Seri used the resin to hold arrowheads to the shaft. Also the gum was used like chewing gum. The Pincushion cactus (Mammiiaria cactaceae) are quite small and often are wedged between rocky cevices. I have unfortunately placed my hands on them numerous times when grabbing for a hand hold to lift myself up a sleep ledge. Suggest you wear leather gloves when hiking & biking. By the way, do you have a wheel lock on your trailer. Lots of theft now days around isolated campsites. Your stamina climing that moiuntain was impressive. A heavier lugged sole hiking boot might help you with the loose gravel & rock. as our weather in Phoenix gets hotter, I suggest you checkout Trail 300 also known as the Rim Road North of Payson area. It runs along th Mogollon Rim. Beautiful Ponderosa pines and numerous lakes in the area.
Slim, This was a most enjoyable video! The bike, desert, climb to the cave and on to the top for a beautiful view made me want to follow in your steps on my trip next March 2025. Thanks for the beautiful night-time ending!
If you're able to elevate the seat so that when you sit on it, your leg is almost straight when on the pedal, it'll be more comfortable on your knees. :)
I live in California… even in a secluded spot I would not dare drive off and leave a chair out side the camper! Lol Loved the bike and views! I really like you have the drone to see the full view of the area… so pretty! Thank you for filming and glad you’re now electric, hope to see more in later videos.
Folding bikes are the way to go! Recently got a non-electric Zizzo. After a good ride I have the deepest sleep ever. Great investment to get in shape. You can pedal if you want to Slim!
Spring! Over here in Vancouver we realky just slide from a gemtle autumn to a lovely spri g with a handful of fairy tale snow days sprinkled into the middle. The flowers never stopped!
Congratulations, e bikes and electronic assist bikes are great. I got the TREK city , the drive is on the crank so it rides more like a bicycle than a motorcycle. I have ridden both, but prefer a bicycle to behave like bicycle. The TREK has 9 gears and is light enough to ride without the electric power. Thank you for taking us along on your adventure.
This was a crazy hike to do alone in the hot sun. I hope you carry some sort of sat SOS device! One slip! You are in fantastic shape! Enjoy the new bike.
A more trusting soul, or maybe just consistently lucky, but driving off with your chair out there for the snatching and no hitch lock to keep the whole rig from wandering off into the sunset is something I just can't do. Nice bike!
You might want to try moving the handlebars around if you can. It looks like they are a little too far forward for you. It ends up putting more weight on the front tire and can handle a little funny on loose terrain.
I lived in phoenix for 25 years. Loved it there. Only left because hubby retired and wanted to be where it was a little cooler. Now reside in eastern oregon but we still travel to phx twice a year to see children and grandchildren.
I gotta say that looks extremely dangerous up there looks like there could be a rock slide at any moment, but I see you’re being careful. My wife says don’t damage that hat she likes it.
I worked in the "Lectric" building a few years ago .. A hail storm hit the Scotsdale/Pheonix area & the owner rented us space to do auto hail repair... They've grown a bit since then & Im glad they're building their own e-bikes. Nothing like a desert sunset.
Excellent photography. You definitely put a lot of effort into your videos. You probably hiked that mountain twice after moving the camera so many times. The new drone is really working out well for you.

FYI, Lectric adds tire sealant at the factory.
Good words
Gotta watch for goathead thorns in the dry country; they'll puncture anything.
He didn’t say puncture proof tires, he said ‘puncture resistant tires” and FYI there is a whole bunch of puncture resistant tires out there, I even have them in my motorcycle.🫡
The night sky footage was stunningly beautiful!
"SP" - Indeed!
Your "follow me" drone was great to use with the bike.
@zendt66 I was wondering how he did that ...didn't know there was a follow me drone. Amazing technology.
@user-pz5mu4rd8whis drone has a "follow me" feature he can use as he's moving.
Amazing

A great way to start a Monday morning watching a Slim video!!!
I agree. Nothing better. 1st cup of coffee accompanied with a Slim video. Doesn't get any better.

I agree, tire liners are a must for desert riding. I believe Slim is Android, so a Tile tracker would be recommended.

you got the shot. loved that bird flying over your summit.
I live in Germany. It's time for afternoon coffee and a Slim Potatohead. 😊
What part of Germany are you in? I was in Heidelberg 7 years, Mannheim for 3, and Wiesbaden for 3. My daughter lives in Hammersbach. Small world!
I miss Arizona. My son was born in Phoenix. That was 34 years ago, and we came back closer to family when my ex got out of the Marine Corp. The night skies are spectacular.
Your photography is beautiful and your determination is great…how you can climb like that amazes us!!
Your videos are so captivating and authentic. Your drone shots, editing and general photography have greatly improved since your earlier videos. The alien looking imposed image was great! Safe and happy travels to you Slim. 💕

A piece of bike-safety kit that most newbies overlook is: padded-palm gloves. This is especially true for rocky, mountainous terrain...
And don't forget them Snakes!! I Love Your Adventurous Road Trips Around the Country. Stay Safe and Drink Plenty of Water!!
Slim you outdid yourself on this awesome video with rock climbing, hiking, and cycling. Then to end it with a breath taking light show, WOW! May need to watch again in a week or so, thank you.
I absolutely love our Arizona Sunsets... everytime I see one, I stop whatever I'm doing and take it all in and enjoy its beauty 🌵🌵
I don’t know why I always thought you traveled alone. Was surprised when I saw the bike footage. Someone had to be there to film it. Nice to have someone to share travels with.
We need to get Steve Wallis down here next winter to camp in that little pocket cave.
I love Steve Wallis
He would totally do it.
It’s a good day when Slim posted a new video
You drove right past the exit to my house off the highway. I live in Avondale Arizona. Yes, that traffic is ridiculous! Stay safe out there I would hate to turn on the news to hear a Canadian RUclipsr was attacked by a dancing lizard!
Not just a fun video, JUST BEAUTIFUL SLIM!!! The sky footage was breathtaking!!! Thank you!!!
This shot was amazing! 26:40 the answer to the question "what does rain look like when you're not in it"
❤ Wow! Incredible hike! You make it seem so easy Slim! You are in great shape and you are also a brave man! ❤
First thing I noticed is how green it looks. Nice seeing life come back to the landscape.
I have no words for that ending, Slim. Speechless. Thank you for bringing us a little slice of heaven through your adventures!
I don’t care what anyone else says your videos are the best. I Enjoy watching them , hi from the uk
It's all the rain we had this winter, the 🌵 blooms should be outstanding the year

Wow, so much work went into producing this video for us. Greatly appreciated Slim 🙏
Great photo work of the night sky and stars Slim
My wife and I got e-bikes to take camping last year and we love them.
Just found your channel ,loving it ,..also thank you for your service, picking up other people's garbage. and anyone else reading this ,if you've picked up other people's garbage, you're a hero, thank you
Nice! That’ll give you some new adventure options!
And remember Slim, ‘You’re not stuck IN traffic, you ARE traffic’.😊
We are really enjoying your honest and well made videos - both trial and error moments and those mixed with adventures in natural beauty! We learn new things every time, as we are just now venturing out into the small trailer camping world. Thank you.
Beautiful area with great videography. Thank you for sharing it with us. An ebike is on my wish list. Thank you for showing us yours.
Welcome to Lectric e-bike world. I’ve been riding mine for three years. Oh, the places it will take you. Enjoy!
Great video! The rock climbing had me on the edge of my seat! Getting up there used to be a challenge, but getting down was much more difficult!
Thank you for taking us along!

It was great to see you climb up Saddle Rock, the view was spectacular. The new Electric bike looked very fun, good video, thanks!
Well Hello Slim,

That timelaps of the stars was EPIC.
Your videos are awesome and I love the way you present your travels around the country. Thank you for sharing them with us. Please take care and stay safe 😊
Ten years from now when Slim comes back to this camp, he can ride the bike up the mountain. We'll have to call him Slim Macaskill🤠😁👍
Love this video. I love Arizona! Breath taking views and skies. The rock climbing was awesome.
I have hiked lots of mountains and I love the desert views. The air is clean and dry, but thinner the higher up. I always took breaks
I want a bike like that one!
Nice vid work on the skies!
You never disappoint.
Thanks, Slim!
Love your self-made light show Slim!
Don’t be overconfident about those snakes! I live outside of Tucson and found my very much alive and well first rattler of the season in my yard at the end of January.
Listening you breathing hard made my heart palpitate.
That little drone did a great job! Great video. Thanks
Wanted to say this also.
Back about 15 years when there were only a couple of factory made very expensive Ebikes avaliable, I built one from a kit. It was only 250 watts but really flattened the hilly terrain where l live. Absolutely breathtaking.
I’m so impressed with your determination to reach the top , it did made me nervous with all those loose rocks! Well done….
Beautiful ending of another day. Thank you so much. Needed it.
Fabulous cinematography Slim
Knee pads Elmo pads and gloves is a must for us older people. I know the hard way lol
SP you are enlightened
Great job in climbing to the peak of the mountain. The views were awesome.
(We can get both bikes into the Prius!) Excellent as always. Thank you for sharing your adventures Slim. ❤
Beautiful scenery. We never get tired of videos. Thanks for sharing
Wow, Slim Potatohead, your timelapse night sky views of the stars are absolutely mesmerizing! 😍 As someone from Chicago, where seeing stars is a rare treat, your videos transport me to a whole new world. Your night time photography is candy for the eyes!
You are a gutsy guy. Kudos Slim!
Boy great video, and you must be in outstanding shape to do that climb!

This was a most enjoyable video! The bike, desert, climb to the cave and

my trip next March 2025.
Thanks for the beautiful night-time ending!
I enjoy following your adventures. Thank you
If you're able to elevate the seat so that when you sit on it, your leg is almost straight when on the pedal, it'll be more comfortable on your knees. :)
Damn slim that night show was absolute gold
Now you need an electric pickup truck to go full green, well done Slim 🎉
I live in California… even in a secluded spot I would not dare drive off and leave a chair out side the camper! Lol
Loved the bike and views! I really like you have the drone to see the full view of the area… so pretty!
Thank you for filming and glad you’re now electric, hope to see more in later videos.
I had to get that Hover camera, loving it, so easy. Thanks for introducing me to another cool gizmo.😊
Spring is in the air in southern NB too crocuses are starting to bloom 😊❤❤
Folding bikes are the way to go! Recently got a non-electric Zizzo. After a good ride I have the deepest sleep ever. Great investment to get in shape. You can pedal if you want to Slim!
Spring! Over here in Vancouver we realky just slide from a gemtle autumn to a lovely spri g with a handful of fairy tale snow days sprinkled into the middle. The flowers never stopped!
Congratulations, e bikes and electronic assist bikes are great. I got the TREK city , the drive is on the crank so it rides more like a bicycle than a motorcycle. This was a crazy hike to do alone in the hot sun. I hope you carry some sort of sat SOS device! One slip! You are in fantastic shape! Enjoy the new bike.
Yes, I always bring my morse code telegraph key. dit dit dit daw daw daw dit dit dit !!!
Well that looks like it’d be a lot of fun and it looks like it works very well. Seems to have a lot of power. Wow, I like it.
Electricity is good. Thank you Slim
Gorgeous night time footage! Thanks.
What a beautiful video! That country!
That little drone you have sure does a professional and quality job. Love your videos.
A more trusting soul, or maybe just consistently lucky, but driving off with your chair out there for the snatching and no hitch lock to keep the whole rig from wandering off into the sunset is something I just can't do. Nice bike!
I lived in the high desert of Arizona for about 5 years. The skies are the most beautiful part of living there.
Phew, I experienced vertigo watching you climb that mountain. Great job making it to the top!

I worked in the "Lectric" building a few years ago ..
A hail storm hit the Scotsdale/Pheonix area & the owner rented us space to do auto hail repair...
They've grown a bit since then & Im glad they're building their own e-bikes.
Nothing like a desert sunset.
Just love your dedication to making awesome content. Keep it up sir, please.
Hey thanks Slim from down under for your efforts love the photography comments and yr bike enjoy n keep going
Excellent photography. You definitely put a lot of effort into your videos. You probably hiked that mountain twice after moving the camera so many times. The new drone is really working out well for you.
Great video:)
