People keep saying that Toronto uses more LTIR than Vegas...the only difference is that the Leaf players will still be out for the playoffs.
Really hate how this went down. I can’t believe the same clown who failed hockey fans in Arizona is going to get another hockey team in Arizona. It’s all such bullshit.
Would you rather not have a team?
Gut feeling but murelo(?) wont be the owner when that time comes. I think he loses the auction in june, and it all back to square one, but when the time comes someone else will step up and the team will be back. They are hell bent on a team in arizona.
The end of an error.
Allowing the Coyotes dumpster fire to keep operating after the Glendale debacle was an epic failure of the NHL.
Now it comes out yokes aren't paying their hotel bills.
No, Phoenix is a huge media market. They’ll be back eventually.
"Just as we are getting a good young team, they go somewhere else"
Nordiques fans have a story for you
Patrick Roy NEVER would’ve been traded to the Nords. No Cup in 1996
@@Hoovie9596 true but it still stings for Nordiques fans to suffer all those years and Colorado reap the rewards
@@Hoovie9596 Exactly! Serge Savard has made it abundantly clear the last 25 years that he would never have traded Patrick Roy to the Nordiques. Not only that, but the management team at the time would have never traded with the Nordique either. The hate ran (and still runs) that deep.
@@Hoovie9596 There was enough talent in Colorado that they could have traded for another goalie and still won.
@@renlessard Expos stings even more.
Just what we need more NHL teams. 36 is where this is going. I love hockey but HATE the NHL.
And more teams in financial trouble needing bail outs.
Great Point on LTIR from Elliotte! Rules are Rules. When u smart enough to use it for ur Advantage,u won the Game!
Hi, everyone. 4:25 is where you want to push play (coyotes talk begins). 👋
Why would you skip the intro? lol the video topics are already time stamped.
@@korbendallas7181 Simple, maybe people don't care for the intro and want to go straight to the main topic.
@@samarchepas The main topic is time stamped, but I hear ya. Don't care for the short intro? don't care for folks like you.
@@korbendallas7181 because everyone need to hear the chicken parm story? Did you call your grandma and tell her about it too?
@@korbendallas7181 call her and tell her about it and tell me what she says, otherwise I don't care for folks like you.
So are we not gonna talk about the way Elliot says the word "Drama"... 54:50
Following form Thailand
Not Gauthier, but Gaucher. Is Anaheim going to move the young center? He won the Memorial and 2 Worlds.
Oakland A's Fisher is like...hold my beer Arizona..
I’m a life long az coyotes fan and I think that everyone that loves the coyotes should be worshiping the ground Bettman walks on. The deal for us is better than we could have ever asked for. Coyotes hockey will be back soon.
I know they were working on a name the team contest in Utah, but could they get away with the Utah Hockey Club until they new rink is built?
The dimelma having good ownership, good arenas, but filling the gaps in the USA footprint of Houston, Atlanta, and now phoenix
My only question would be that IF the coyotes move to salt lake…can the team name stay in Arizona?
Yes, that's part of the deal. Alex Meruelo will receive a five-year window to re-activate the Coyotes franchise in a proper new building with the same logo, uniforms, and Coyotes team trademarks.
The team in Salt Lake City will not and cannot be called the "Coyotes".
Why would the NHL want to go back. The support for an NHL in Arizona is in the minority or they would have ald struck ground on an arena. They must be assuming he will never get an arena built in 5 years
The coyotes NEVER had a good owner. Not a single one cared in over 20 years. It's hard to rally a fan base when the owners never cared to build a team worth watching.
Huge TV market. It can work. Just needs to be central to Phx-Scottsdale/good tv contract/and competitive play (always been more of a retiree/IR landing spot than a contender)....
Miricle Mark needs a flash back to Big Buff coming at him. who is gonna step up on VAN. or EDM to make this happen.
Avs fan here. Georgiev has had all season to turn it around.. hasnt. he plays well against the Rangers, that’s been it. he was great for us last year but something is up between the ears mentally. Short leash- he might get hot who knows.
He’s just not an elite goalie. Avs put too much faith into an unproven goalie, his numbers on the rangers weren’t really that great
@@whippin1335 Oh I’m aware. the thing is he doesn’t need to be elite- he hasn’t been even average. which is where the issue lieds. He can’t play more than 40 mins each game. either he lets in the first 3, or plays great until a total collapse comes in the 3rd period.
They should just sink or swim with Annunen, because Georgiev already sunk. We’ll see what happens but next year they better fix it🤷♂️
@@Nathanielhiggerson66 I think something will have to be done in the offseason. I remember I was confused at the time of the Georgiev signing because his numbers on the rangers were just… not great. The avs just need an average tender like Adin Hill last year
Why isn’t everyone forgetting about the possibility of Matt Ishbia buying and saving the Phoenix Coyotes and keeping them in the Phoenix metro area. Salt Lake City will get a relocation team in the near future possibly the Winnipeg Jets or Vancouver Canucks.
Whaaaat!…the jets and canucks are not going anywhere…bettman even said so himself about the jets!…they may not be selling out the arena right now but very close to it…thats something most nhl hockey cities in the states don’t do!
@@dianedyck3474 with the way that the path that Canadian Dollar is currently going. I can see many Canadian based franchises relocating the only ones that are safe is Toronto and Montreal due to being part of the original six the others are not as fortunate.
"Harrison Ford is one of the best pilots ever" same guy who crashed his plane on a golf course after not doing a pre flight check.
How do coyotes fans get behind the AHL? Stay hardcore or wake me up when the NHL is back
I dont obviously know the ins and outs of why this is happening this way.....But from an optics perspective, Gary Bettman really looks horrible and he had better come out and make people understand why this has gotten to this point and why this isn't his pig-headedness and incompetence that causes all this, because that's what the fans think.
A league is as strong as it weakest teams
You guys definitely are not cheering for the Oilers over Golden Knights !?
You have done zero good reporting on this my man.. ur a fan boi
Caps shutout Boston.
Stupid move. Utah, like Phoenix, is a basketball and football market…relocating an entire team because owners in the current city can’t get their sh*t together is ridiculous.
I-think-the-2-expansions-end-up-in-Houston-and-Atlanta-and-for-Arizona-and-Quebec-its
There will be a team in Arizona eventually. Absence will make the heart grow fonder..as SLC as exciting a new venue this may well be..it is a different sensibility there…the contrast will motivate a new chapter as in expansion comes to a happy reunion in Arizona by the late 20’s..🛣️🌵✨🏒🥅🦋
