Lucky i found you guys. I’m not a sailer …yet. I’m interested in a sailer/trailer for the mediterranean for maybe a week out. I’m curious about the differences between say a 21 ft sailer like the viko vs a 30 footer (which i think is the largest sailer/trailer that a 4x4 car could pull) in terms of sea comfort (less rolling/rocking).
The Sygnet 20 is probably the perfect trailer sailer, but sadly there is no way to get one in North America. 😔 I'm probably going to have to settle for a Com-Pac 19...
They go up to 35ft. You'd need to option it up extensively and it might be cheaper to buy a more expensive boat, if that makes sense. Personally I think Viko are good for sailing around the coast, I wouldn't do crossings in any of them. It's horses for courses mate.
@@ericturner2477 I've done a lap of Australia living out of a camper trailer lol You just adjust to it. This type of boats not for 8 week ocean crossings. It's for hugging the coast and river systems, lots of opportunities to get on the beach for long walks. The headspace issue wouldn't stop me mate. $47,000 AUD compromises have to be made, you can't nitpick at this price point.
Awesome review!
Is this great sailboat for sale in the USA??
Nice pocket cruiser. Is there a US distributor?
Yep

Do you build Kuipers?
I'm not sure what you mean but, no, we do not build, just deal in new and used trailer yachts.
Maybe a big bed and a small head but nowhere to prepare and cook food or store anything for a long weekend....Correct me if I am wrong
Wow great design
Beautiful
Thank you
Much prefer the Cygnet 20...
Cygnet 20s are indeed beautiful little boats.

Do Viko sell a boat you can sail the world in, obviously not this one.

They've announced a 43 footer now
The viko s21 is a great sailboat but get real there is zero headroom!
I'm 6'5 so headroom's just something I live without.

@@ericturner2477 yes I have a Reve De Mer, no head room but a joy to sail, even offshore.
