For the longest time I avoided the nihilist label becuase the religious and political smear campaigns against it got to me. The title and thumbnail you used are a perfect example of the public image problem of nihilism. Even the philosophically versed try to distance themselves from the label by hiding behind stoicism or absurdisim which are basically sub takes on nihilism. In reality nihilism is the ideal avenue for personal growth and freedom.
I believe lots of things as a nihilist. But I don't think God, morality, objective purpose, freewill, or objective meaning likely exist, and the universe is most likely absurd at root. I also think certain knowledge is unobtainable.

I really hate it when self-inflated people like Jordan Petersen throw the label Nihilist around as a catch-all for anyone who does not have an accepted spiritual belief. He labels every mass shooter in the US who leaves a ‘manifesto’ as a Nihilist - amazing that he can make that judgement based on the scrawlings of a depressed and disturbed mind. He uses the term in the same manner & tone as others use Fascist - it’s a dirty word. I don’t see why Nihilism is so difficult for others to grasp. We are the only species on earth who waste time looking for the meaning of life. Life is. I prefer to spend my days enjoying every moment in itself, for itself, as it is. I’m not thinking about tomorrow, let alone what comes after death. Just live.

man has philosophies that are as much as we have usable braincells. these philosophizers can come up with a new idea about people and even create new words for it. and its not just in normal life. its also abundant in medical science. endless new illnesses n diseases and accompanying medications. this is why we need A.I. and more advanced computers very much.
