So many great songs throughout the decades. How can anyone pick just one song or group. Except the music of today. Real loud hardrock,or rap they kind of suck.
You can not understand what they are singing about.
      And it hurts your ears.

Being 16 and 17 years old in '67, I remember listening to all of these songs -- countless times! But especially, "The Letter", "Friday On My Mind" and both
the single & orig. album versions of, "Light My Fire"!! Jose Feliciano's lovely
take on the latter is also a gem.

Didn't know that in early years the Bee Gees consisted of more than just the three brothers. Happenings' I Got Rhythm is one of my favorites--great arrangement and harmony. Pretty Ballerina--Michael Brown's music writing amazing and his father's orchestration and arrangement just genius.

There's some really great songs on this list! There used to be a little laundromat in the small town I grew up in. After I finished my paper route,I'd stop in there, they had a jukebox & a pinball like of game. Except it had a rifle that you shot objects that popped up. I always played the same song, Come On Down To My Boat, while play the shooting game! I've thought about those days, but couldn't remember how old I was. Now I know, since this came out in 1967 I was 14!โค

The BIG 8 CKLW would play either the single or the album version of Light My Fire on their station. You never knew what version you would hear . It was fun waiting to hear it. I guess if the DJ would need to use the bathroom he would play the album version.
