- All 5 Boss Race of HOT WHEELS UNLEASHED™'s Campaign mode in Extreme Difficulty using the Back to the Future Time Machine Delorean, Acceleracer RD-02, Audi Sport Quattro, Veloci Racer and Koenigsegg Jesko.
Surprisingly the most difficult race for me is the Ex Machina & Scorpion due to a more speed favored track where the AI has infinite boost. The rest have track hazzards which stops the AI on their track.

Amazing laps! 👏👏 I've also completed the 1st boss fight (extreme difficulty) but with a slower car 'Winning Formula' on 1st day of playing. I think the AIs go a bit slower depending on which car you use since my laps were slower than yours. What do you think? 🤔

It could be. It also depends on what car the AI is driving too. I know Formula Flash AIs are insane!
The fact that Acceleracers is still relevant over 15 years later resonates deeply within my being.

I absolutely hate games that have AI that are programmed to not let you be faster than them until the last moment.
Sonic riders 1 increased AI difficulty by the margin of victory of the previous race. In grand prix mode I would win by 15-20 seconds in the first race, barely squeak out 1st in the second, bomb the 3rd, and win the 4th without fail until I started waiting at the finish lane for the bots to catch up for every race.

Is it just me or does the AI seem to have an insane amount of speed all the time on Extreme? Either they have some infinite boost (I saw the desc and agree) or some tweaked stats. Does anyone know for sure?
The rubberbanding in this game is just disgusting.
Only on extreme. A lot of the other difficulties you’ll most likely drive away if you have a good race or only have one or two cars battling you
@@x-90 Yea man, Hard can be very easy. Extreme really feels like a real challenge but it's sometimes impossible to keep up with them if you don't have a max upgraded car or map hazards. And I don't know if it is rubber banding cause they still will speed away.
@@Angrynood it isnt rubber banding. the AI cars are basically grouped in speed classes which determines how they drive. for starters they ignore all stats, which is only bound to the player. this is why vehicles like total disposal or hw high seem to drift flawlessly and sometimes go faster than what their stats permit. if you watch closely, it also how vehicles like 24 ours and boneshaker can boost more times than bursts they actually have (both being only 2). this is exceptionally true with the yeti boss race as the AI does not falter when running over the ice or the scorpion boss where the AI with low boost numbers can still boost after running over the venom. on extreme difficulty, almost the entire pack of AI drivers will be placed in the highest speed class. they will drift nearly every corner perfectly and boost excessively. but on easy its the exact opposite, where they will barely do either and drive at a normal pace which is pretty slow-ish (some cars will even bog down on loops and other inverted track pieces that arent magnet track). on medium you will only have about 2-3 fast cars and the rest will be slow. while on hard they will be the opposite of medium where youll instead have around 6-7 fast cars and the rest will be slow.
@@MasterOfTruck honestly that sounds like a pretty cool way of balancing an arcade racer, as rubber banding feels cheapened most of the time. This makes it feel like you're fighting for your win against opponents who are quite literally cheating. Kinda fun actually

No yeah it’s pretty cool. A better part of the sound design for sure although I would say that they do need to tighten up some of the audio mixing and sound effects but the loop noise is definitely cool

Hw boss is just bassically a monster who wanna destroy our city
Maybe it is also made by the accelerons, with monsters in them, to test ones skills, makes a ton of sense here.

I want to give my opinion about this game, what I feel so far being 30% in the single player “campaign”. I enjoy the game so far, the variety of cars, and the different stats with boost etc feels very fleshed out and enjoyable, but one thing I have to criticize is that the races sometimes feel boring depending on which track you’re playing. In Hot Wheels: Beat That! there used to be weapons with orange rings for basic weapons and blue rings for better versions if those weapons and I kind of miss it to be honest. It used to be so fun to use those weapons. That’s just my opinion, but Hot Wheels: Beat That! was a big part if my childhood, so maybe I’m a bit biased

This somehow got me satisfied, specially the part where the player drifts with the car and then use the boost, and also the part where the car jumps off a track and use the boost and lands perfectly to another track, this game is like, the new version of the old game hot wheels beat that, the drifting sounds really, really good to me 😌 (just in my opinion). Did anyone else got satisfied because of this game too?

Dude right ? And I’ve been playing racing games since a child. Gran turismo, burnout, need for speed, forza, ctr etc. this ai in this game are brutal! But I like it. I’m playing on normal too and winning races feels like in motorstorm where you gotta use skill and just get lucky lol 😅

Yea I can concur what bothers me is that this is a hot wheels game and while it is defiently fun the problem lies with it's simplicity hot wheels have always been known to be crazy and wakey at times with the tracks but here just because it's basing itself off of the actually toys doesn't mean ypu should go 100% with that and add flare that makes it feel unique and fun always

It seems like 95% of players just keep wall riding cos of the game’s drift mechanics but man… when someone actually knows how to play the game, the gameplay looks GOOD, and I love that the AI is difficult and takes a lot of attempts to beat
EDIT: it seems that the gameplay catered towards the nostalgic oldheads more than kids with the drifting and AI difficulty in this game
It's pretty hard not to wall ride on some of the sharp bends, especially right after a jump or a boost pad. I try and keep it clean but I'm like 5 hours in and I keep giving up on the hairpins lol. The brakes don't slow ya down very fast.

Its not perfect, but very good.
The worst is the swich lite version, it crashes A LOT. I played it more than PC because I like to sit in the sofa, hehe.
Its good if you want an arcade racer without weapons and just skills.
All the boss fights are so cheesable, you can actualy skip half the map to certain check points or leap from check point to check point.

This game is stupid fun. I think I'll be done with GTA after this. As I only logged in for stunt races and the reason I loved stunt races was because they reminded me of the old hotwheels game I used to play as a kid.

FYI, most cars (except for a couple odd ones out) LITERALLY have the same top speed and acceleration - Their SPEED and ACCELERATION value is a lie. Maybe they patched this since I played, but I doubt it. This is why I consider Power Rocket to be the best car - 6 boosts, same top speed / acceleration as everything else, max (I think?) HANDLING.

I think shadow of the scorpion is, although ex machina is a close second. You cant really afford to miss speed boosts on those tracks so you gotta play it carefully

The one thing I wished they did for this game is make it interesting to be in first place cause in mario cart their answer to helping people get in first or in a better position on the podium was the blie shell in thsi game I don't think it needs items and it just needs to be made harder or more engaging to be in first
