We didn't need a "will they won't they" with them in my opinion. Their chemistry was strong from the beginning and didn't need much build up . Should've just gotten together early on like in The Office or Chicago Fire. This just felt unsatisfying.

The Blacklist is such a great and powerful show. Which is why it's so unfortunate and demeaning when somebody oversimplifies the entire show by shipping characters together and making it completely about that. It's so much more than your opinion about a character. It's people like this that ruin a good show. Stranger Things, MHA, The Walking Dead for God's sake! Even if you're not like that and you just enjoy the show, you're immediately associated with the weebs, shippers, over-enthusiastic cosplayers, and patriarchs. It's a sad and weird way to live. It's OK to love a show, but you can't center your life around a fictional character.
.... Well characters and how they are written are part of what makes a shoe good. Imagine the blacklist but instead of charismatic red they go with some compleatly uncompelling guy ... How well would you think that would go?! You can not seperate that, writing great characters and compelling dynamics between them is a central part of writing a good story, breaking bad lived on having Walter white be written solid as fuck and a lot about his relationship with jessy, that despite all their problems replaced his own son in a way...... You can not expect that people will not be drawn to compelling characters and relationships
