I disagree with the idea of Cricket being a hybrid. A huge part of her role in the story is proving to the readers that Hivewings aren’t all evil. Having her be partially Silkwing would undermine that.
@@Lesserafimslays Hivewings are one tribe tho. They all have a common ancestor, but in the modern day, they’re a clearly defined tribe. Even if all Hivewings are hybrids, she is 100% Hivewing.

Yeah, this is problem that I see a lot in books. the idea to have a character to show that the enemy tribe shouldn’t be all evil for no reason doesn’t work when said character is hybrid. Although, it was a little weird to have the whole problem be a plant.
I agree that DragonSlayer is a good book it really let us know more about scavengers and the death of queen Oasis, though I wished their role in the main series was smaller to barely any

When I first read the book I thought it was great, and the best book in the series I’d read so far. When I found out that it was an unpopular opinion I was aStOnIsHeD. I don’t care for Starflight - like most others in the fandom - but I thought reading from his POV was interesting and different from most of the others we had gotten so far. Examples of why I have no idea why this is a disliked book (AMAZINGLY SPENTABULOUS SPOILERS AHEAD FOR THE DARK SECRET! YOU’VE BEEN WARNED): The alternate dragonets, Morrowseer’s evil Morrowseerness, the NightWing Exodus, and- oh- wait! Your whole life is a lie! THE PROPHECY ISN’T REAL!!! I FEEL LIKE I’M THE ONLY ONE WHO REMEMBERS THAT HAPPENED WHY AMAZING CLIFFHANGERS WHYYYY!!! THANK YOU FOR JOINING ME IN MY ALL CAPS TED TALK :’)
Unpopular opinion: Burn died too fast, whilst Clay’s poison was too slow. It wasn’t well matched and Clay either should have died or Burn should have lived. But I see why it couldn’t work out that way. Atleast make Burn die slower.
4:53 I actually was just thinking about Glorybringer! I had a pretty recent AU idea for Glory and Deathbringer. It basically starts out the same, but all the “chemistry” is in Deathbringer’s head and Glory is uninterested in a relationship with him and her passive aggressive comments are *much* less lighthearted as in the books.

But age gaps must be a lot wider in WoF, because dragons can live for longer. It would be a bit of a plot hole to make it almost impossible to find a partner once a dragon hits 80. Also, Deathbringer is a pretty nice guy. It’s not like it was his choice to kill dragons for a living, geez, read the assassins winglet.
I have a kind of similar sort of AU, but Deathbringer doesn't have a crush on Glory, nor does he see chemistry. It's actually for a Glory x reader fanfic I'm going to write. It has Glory and Deathbringer having a more sibling-like relationship.
@Sunbrraker, Queen of Bronze ikr? He’s been through so much, between his job, his mother dying, and also witnessing a fair amount of death. He’s truly just a good character who needs someon to love, and you can see that Glory is perfect to him. And though nobody will admit it, Glory loved him from the start. There’s literally text evidence in her book.

Unpopular opinion: I actually liked how Darkstalker was defeated. It was just really satisfying to see the most overpowered character in all of WoF be taken down by something as small as a strawberry.

I have an unpopular opinion _Glory and Starflight make an amazing duo not about romance but the other duo than tsunami and clay. I don t know if you see what i m talking about but i love theirs dynamic and it s due to their cleverness that they save the whole nightwing's tribe. I find the concept of fake dragonnet amazing and they must need more plot about them. Too more devellopment about fatespeaker even if i really love the relation of support she has for starry And finally: i live Blaze and i would like she was more clever than she was described.

Unpopular opinion: Mastermind is one of my fav dragons and desprately needs more scenes and depth in his character like character interactions with glory, starflight, rainwings, and more motives and opinion explaination for his actions. I also wanna kno wtfrick happened to chameleon and vulture and they r very underrated. heck, i forgot they existed until i looked at wof amvs, maps, memes, ect. and even then they r underrated

My unpopular opinion is that: I didn’t really like how moon was after her book she was all really shy in her book it made her a good character (in my opinion) but then she wasn’t after her book it got me a bit upset since I usually just saw the Nightwing as a shy one.

personally my opinion (which is probably a pretty unpopular one idk) is that ppl butcher relationships, if, say, Qibli and Sunny so much as look at each other the community ships them, and even if its obvious itll never happen, they will hold to that ship until the day they die, like Sunnyflight or Winterbli (idk if thats their official names-), the ships are confirmed to not happen, yet the community continues to butcher the ships and hold fast to them when Qibli and Winter are never gonna fall in love and date, its like- literally canon (i believe that ship originated in Darkness of Dragons when Qibli joked about marrying Winter one day but idk)

So, This is my opinion about the unpopular opinions, I'll put some ideas at the end of the comment if you just want to ignore my rambling. Most of the opinions I agree with, although, I do find it hard to stomach the Darkstalker one. Yes, what he did could have been avoided, and his past is not a good excuse for what he did. But I do not think he is completely evil, more of a doing the wrong thing for the "right" reason. As far as I can tell, he wanted the best future but refused to believe that he couldn't satisfy his anger and power thirst at the same time. My conclusion is, he's not all evil. Maybe a little of a psychopath, but with good intentions. Honestly, I don't really want a docile Darkstalker, I think his personality was excellent for a Villain. Imagine if Darkstalker was redeemed at the end of Book 10. It would be.. interesting. What if listener came with Clearsight to the other continent What if Sundew didn't have leafspeak? What if Cricket never saved Blue? Edit: I forgot to tell you thank you for the wonderful videos and listening to my comments! I know I might be eccentric and possibly a simp over Darkstalker's character as a whole (even as a villain), I do appreciate hearing your videos even if there things that I may not like. Keep going! I don't really know what most people think of MoonWatcher, nor can I find anything about anyone's opinions on her but I feel that she got stale, very stale and boring after her book. Even in the last 6 chapters of her book I felt like there was no depth but yet she was the protagonist of her book. She turned from her own character into a plot device, this change was noticeable towards the end of her book. Wish there was more to her, but she did serve her purpose, drive the plot forward, release darkstalker, and get the visions for the third arc.
I agree with everything except the Icicle thing, Glorybringer being bad and Darkstalker not being even remotely forgivable , I'm neutral on Dragonslayer

bro I love this book 😭 however I’m pretty biased cause Queen Scarlet is LITERALLY MY FAVORITE CHARACTER EVER so I like this book mostly because she’s in it a lot. And you’re right- Peril’s thought’s are always in a circle, and her Clay obsession is a bit annoying to me. It wouldn’t be if he actually loved her that much back, but I kind of hate him. Peril needs that kind of love, and he doesn’t provide it. SO STOP BEING SO CONFUSING, CLAY. EITHER LOVE HER OR DON’T 😭!!! However, the burning other dragons part is lowkey comic relief, and I’m her for ittttttt
@@Wingzoskates to be honest I just find her hilarious, and the way she is so strong a radiates fear and power is so impressive, even after being imprisoned and in hiding for a while. She’s also had some character development tbh. Like at the beginning of the series, she only really cared about her amusement and throne and jewels- after the whole Glory thing, her main goal was vengeance. Obviously still the throne, but she had something more specific in mind- killing the dragonets. The entire storyline involving Scarlet was just thrilling in general.
Not really an opinion more than a theory, but when Blaze is speaking with the Dragonets Of Destiny she states that Queen Glacier ripped off a dragons wings after they attacked blaze, what if that dragon was Osprey, perils friend in the Sky Kingdom who fell to his death?
My unpopular opinion: Qinter sucks,ships are supposed to be characters that love each other and Winter just is annoyed by Quibli. They don’t just lack chemistry,they lack the entire periodic table. it literally defies the ship rules,IT MAKES NO SENSE! Winterjou I can see happening since Kinkajou isn’t annoying winter to the death. It’s one if not the MOST overrated ships in the fandom.
I'm not a fan of Qinter, either. I only really see them as frenemies, so it's hard for me to ship characters like that. Qibli is the kind of dragon to flirt with everyone (half jokingly half seriously) and Winter is the kind of dragon to take it seriously and be pitifully confused.

I have a lot of unpopular opinions. 1. Whirlpool isn't nearly as significant as most of the fandom seems to think he is, he's far from being the "worst character in the series". What sets him apart from the other villains? 2. I don't like how Glory became queen of the Rainwings and Nightwings immediately even though she didn't even know much about either tribe. 3. I hate how Darkstalker's death was handled and Peacemaker is my least favorite character in the series. 4. Clearsight is underrated and deserves to be more popular than characters like Glory and Sundew. 5. Qibli is annoying and I hate him and his ship with Winter. 6. Most romances in the series are rushed in and very badly written. This includes Glorybringer, Ripnami, Sunlow, Moonbli, etc. (One that I liked was Darkstalker X Clearsight.)

My opinion on darkstallker is the fact that if you gave winter or qibli the same powers as darkstalker they would do the same things he did if he was not an animus he probably would never have done what he done he was given to much power.

4:50 she would’ve had to change the whole story, so that wasp actually did have mind control powers, and it wasn’t the breath of evil which would’ve been a really short book because it would’ve had a very simple solution.
Ok so while I don’t entirely dislike scavengers I just really think Tui didn’t put enough dynamics into her human characters to make them loveable and they really seemed a lot less complicated then most of her dragon characters.
I liked the ending to darkness of dragons. I thought it was a Interesting and unique way to defeat Darkstalker. Who Was seemingly untouchable, and it showed just how clever Kinkajou can be. I thought Bumblebee was kind of annoying at times. I didn't hate her but I never cared for her either. The same goes with all the baby characters. Bumblebee was just the worst because of how much time was spent with her. I really like glorybringer. The fandom seems to be pretty evenly split on that one, so it might not be my hottest take. In the video you said they lack chemistry, but I think they have some of the best chemistry in the books. I can honestly watch the two bicker at one another for hours at a time. Admittedly there romance was kind of thrown in there, but so was most of the ships in these books. So it never bothered me to much. Don't even get me started on the age gape controversy. The inclusion of humans never bothered me very much. I get why people don't like it. The focused on the dragons and there world is what makes these books unique. I have not read dragon slayer, but I really enjoyed the human interaction in Dangerous gift, and flames of hope. Cottonmouth may by in my top 5 wof villain.
I don’t know if this is unpopular or not, but I really like Starflight. I love his nerd personality. Him and Turtle are characters I just really relate to in general. Also, I actually liked Darkness of Dragons.
I like glory a lot but I do agree that I got disappointed when she became queen of not one but TWO tribes! I would have liked it better if another rain wing became queen and her be an advisor she would have been a good one too
I do not agree with GloryBringer being a bad ship. (Ahhh some people will hate me for that.) 1: Dragons might work different from us, so they might be allowed to do that. 2: It is a fictional series. 3: Do remember Anemone in book 2 was gonna be forced to marry Whirlpool. She didn’t want it and whirlpool is WAY older that Anemone, a bigger age difference between glory and DeathBringer.
Here are some of my opinions on the topics in the video: Scavengers I disagree with this one because the plot with them really confused me and I feel like they didn’t need to be such a large thing in the series, I like some implications such as Wren and Sky and the three scavengers who killed and stole Oasis’s treasure but that’s it. Darkstalker’s actions are unforgivable I agree because even if he he is doing the right thing doesn’t make his actions just, he thought giving most of the nightwings unnatural powers and abilities was fine and fair, he thought it was fine to make everyone like him more, he thought killing Arctic, , would make life better, you see the point? His actions aren’t forgivable, even if he says he didn’t mean it. Io is underrated I agree because she only shows up after a few pages of saving blue in book 11 and seeing her held captive in book 15, I wondered what happened to Io after her getting swarmed by hive wings, was she killed, kept prisoner? I didn’t even mention the Io is Swordtail’s sister, yet he hadn’t tried to save her, he hadn’t even Io, it was like everyone had forgot her, I would’ve liked her to show up more in the books. Icicle didn’t deserve to be villanised I disagree because although she was trying to save her brother, she took the wrong way to do it, she tried to kill Starflight (Although you could say Scarlet made her) then flew off, killed a random nightwing in the rainforest and hid in a probably forbidden area (the volcano island due to it being unstable) Thanks for reading this and I enjoyed the video ❤

I know this is unpopular as well, but I dislike Glory a lot. She says bad things abut herself in order to get compliments, and I find that super annoying. She also took the throne of the RainWings with no knowledge of the tribe and their ways, then planned for an invasion that could get the peaceful tribe killed. Then she just showed up to the poor starving upset desperate NightWings and seized their throne.
I respect your opinion, but I have a few arguments. 1. She simply doesn’t care about herself. This is seen a LOT in Arc 1. 2. She was trying to help the RainWings. 3. Why are you taking pity on the NightWings? They did far worse things than Glory could’ve done.
A Hive-Silk hybrid COULD have black scales if their mother was the HiveWing. Take Sunny for example. Does she has any NightWing qualities? No, because her mother was a SandWing. The mother has dominant genes.

I agree that darkstalker was a horrible dragon but he is a good villain in my opinion. I also like albatross. While I’m not excusing albatrosses actions. He was abused by his queen and turned evil because he used to much magic. It makes sense of why he turned his anger on his family.
Unpopular opinion: I strongly dislike Sunny- she is WAY too naïve and acts like a two year old dragonet until book five. While I do love book 5, I just feel like Sunny springs into being way more mature. Also please make a part 2, i loved seeing these unpopular opinions!
Two extremely unpopular opinions of mine: 1: Qibli is a mediocre character 2: Qinter is toxic and won’t work out (literally no romantic chemistry also Qibli bullies Winter for “funny” and I hate people like that)
Tbh I don't want anyone to get into any arguments because then it'll just turn into drama. Civil debates tend to turn into arguments, so I don't want to take any chances. (Mainly just so everyone is respectful of each other.)

I think that Queen Monarch should get a winglet bc she basically did nothing and was only mentioned a handful of times, plus I want to know why she gave up her leadership to Queen Wasp. I personally think Wasp threatened to have her family/children/husband or wife killed, so she doesn't just seem like a coward. 2. Snowfall and Lynx should get married. Honestly, the two were just such good friends in The Dangerous Gift, and if they became a real couple I would scream. 3. I am SUPER glad that Kinkajou defeated Darkstalker, bc it would be boring if Qibli or some other main character killed him, and also it was very unpredictable. 4. Queen Coral should die bc it would make a pretty interesting story since Tsunami doesn't want to be queen, and Anemone and Auklet are too young. 5. Sunny's love interest should be a girl bc we need more LGBTQ! 6. Anemone and Tamarin should get married. ❤

I disagree with the idea of Cricket being a hybrid. A huge part of her role in the story is proving to the readers that Hivewings aren’t all evil. Having her be partially Silkwing would undermine that.

Yeah, this is problem that I see a lot in books. the idea to have a character to show that the enemy tribe shouldn’t be all evil for no reason doesn’t work when said character is hybrid. Although, it was a little weird to have the whole problem be a plant.
I agree that DragonSlayer is a good book it really let us know more about scavengers and the death of queen Oasis, though I wished their role in the main series was smaller to barely any

When I first read the book I thought it was great, and the best book in the series I’d read so far. When I found out that it was an unpopular opinion I was aStOnIsHeD. I don’t care for Starflight - like most others in the fandom - but I thought reading from his POV was interesting and different from most of the others we had gotten so far. Burn died too fast, whilst Clay’s poison was too slow. It wasn’t well matched and Clay either should have died or Burn should have lived. But I see why it couldn’t work out that way. Atleast make Burn die slower.
Realistically snakes control how much venom they inject in when they bite, Burn probably got a lot more than Clay

I actually was just thinking about Glorybringer! I had a pretty recent AU idea for Glory and Deathbringer. It basically starts out the same, but all the “chemistry” is in Deathbringer’s head and Glory is uninterested in a relationship with him and her passive aggressive comments are *much* less lighthearted as in the books.
I'd prefer that over what we got! That sounds cool and actually like something I would love to see

But age gaps must be a lot wider in WoF, because dragons can live for longer. It would be a bit of a plot hole to make it almost impossible to find a partner once a dragon hits 80. Also, Deathbringer is a pretty nice guy. It’s not like it was his choice to kill dragons for a living, geez, read the assassins winglet.
I have a kind of similar sort of AU, but Deathbringer doesn't have a crush on Glory, nor does he see chemistry. It's actually for a Glory x reader fanfic I'm going to write. It has Glory and Deathbringer having a more sibling-like relationship.

personally my opinion (which is probably a pretty unpopular one idk) is that ppl butcher relationships, if, say, Qibli and Sunny so much as look at each other the community ships them, and even if its obvious itll never happen, they will hold to that ship until the day they die, like Sunnyflight or Winterbli (idk if thats their official names-), the ships are confirmed to not happen, yet the community continues to butcher the ships and hold fast to them when Qibli and Winter are never gonna fall in love and date, its like- literally canon
(i believe that ship originated in Darkness of Dragons when Qibli joked about marrying Winter one day but idk)
I think people just ship qwinter just for the gay of it, which ticks me off.

So, This is my opinion about the unpopular opinions, I'll put some ideas at the end of the comment if you just want to ignore my rambling. Most of the opinions I agree with, although, I do find it hard to stomach the Darkstalker one. Yes, what he did could have been avoided, and his past is not a good excuse for what he did. But I do not think he is completely evil, more of a doing the wrong thing for the "right" reason. As far as I can tell, he wanted the best future but refused to believe that he couldn't satisfy his anger and power thirst at the same time. My conclusion is, he's not all evil. Maybe a little of a psychopath, but with good intentions. Honestly, I don't really want a docile Darkstalker, I think his personality was excellent for a Villain. Imagine if Darkstalker was redeemed at the end of Book 10. It would be.. interesting.

I don't really know what most people think of MoonWatcher, nor can I find anything about anyone's opinions on her but I feel that she got stale, very stale and boring after her book. Even in the last 6 chapters of her book I felt like there was no depth but yet she was the protagonist of her book.
She turned from her own character into a plot device, this change was noticeable towards the end of her book. Wish there was more to her, but she did serve her purpose, drive the plot forward, release darkstalker, and get the visions for the third arc.

@@Wingzoskates to be honest I just find her hilarious, and the way she is so strong a radiates fear and power is so impressive, even after being imprisoned and in hiding for a while. She’s also had some character development tbh. Like at the beginning of the series, she only really cared about her amusement and throne and jewels- after the whole Glory thing, her main goal was vengeance. Obviously still the throne, but she had something more specific in mind- killing the dragonets. The entire storyline involving Scarlet was just thrilling in general.

I have a lot of unpopular opinions.
1. Whirlpool isn't nearly as significant as most of the fandom seems to think he is, he's far from being the "worst character in the series". What sets him apart from the other villains?
2. I don't like how Glory became queen of the Rainwings and Nightwings immediately even though she didn't even know much about either tribe.
3. I hate how Darkstalker's death was handled and Peacemaker is my least favorite character in the series.
4. Clearsight is underrated and deserves to be more popular than characters like Glory and Sundew.
5. Qibli is annoying and I hate him and his ship with Winter.
6. Most romances in the series are rushed in and very badly written. This includes Glorybringer, Ripnami, Sunlow, Moonbli, etc. (One that I liked was Darkstalker X Clearsight.)

My opinion on darkstallker is the fact that if you gave winter or qibli the same powers as darkstalker they would do the same things he did if he was not an animus he probably would never have done what he done he was given to much power.

I liked the ending to darkness of dragons. I thought it was a Interesting and unique way to defeat Darkstalker. Who Was seemingly untouchable, and it showed just how clever Kinkajou can be.
I thought Bumblebee was kind of annoying at times. I didn't hate her but I never cared for her either. The same goes with all the baby characters. Bumblebee was just the worst because of how much time was spent with her.
I really like glorybringer. The fandom seems to be pretty evenly split on that one, so it might not be my hottest take. In the video you said they lack chemistry, but I think they have some of the best chemistry in the books. I can honestly watch the two bicker at one another for hours at a time. Admittedly there romance was kind of thrown in there, but so was most of the ships in these books. So it never bothered me to much. Don't even get me started on the age gape controversy.
The inclusion of humans never bothered me very much. I get why people don't like it. The focused on the dragons and there world is what makes these books unique. I have not read dragon slayer, but I really enjoyed the human interaction in Dangerous gift, and flames of hope. Cottonmouth may by in my top 5 wof villain.

I disagree with this one because the plot with them really confused me and I feel like they didn’t need to be such a large thing in the series, I like some implications such as Wren and Sky and the three scavengers who killed and stole Oasis’s treasure but that’s it.
Darkstalker’s actions are unforgivable
I agree because even if he he is doing the right thing doesn’t make his actions just, he thought giving most of the nightwings unnatural powers and abilities was fine and fair, he thought it was fine to make everyone like him more, he thought killing Arctic, , would make life better, you see the point? His actions aren’t forgivable, even if he says he didn’t mean it.
Io is underrated
I agree because she only shows up after a few pages of saving blue in book 11 and seeing her held captive in book 15, I wondered what happened to Io after her getting swarmed by hive wings, was she killed, kept prisoner? I didn’t even mention the Io is Swordtail’s sister, yet he hadn’t tried to save her, he hadn’t even Io, it was like everyone had forgot her, I would’ve liked her to show up more in the books.
Icicle didn’t deserve to be villanised
I disagree because although she was trying to save her brother, she took the wrong way to do it, she tried to kill Starflight (Although you could say Scarlet made her) then flew off, killed a random nightwing in the rainforest and hid in a probably forbidden area (the volcano island due to it being unstable)

Unpopular opinion: i dont think moon is a mary sue, and think she was as good as her of book, but she was great as a protag making normal scenes feel worse for some fans

3 Qibli is sadly my least favorite character. He just isn't that great as everyone says in the books but, a lot of people like him so I can see why

I know this is unpopular as well, but I dislike Glory a lot. She says bad things abut herself in order to get compliments, and I find that super annoying. She also took the throne of the RainWings with no knowledge of the tribe and their ways, then planned for an invasion that could get the peaceful tribe killed. Then she just showed up to the poor starving upset desperate NightWings and seized their throne.
I respect your opinion, but I have a few arguments.
1. She simply doesn’t care about herself. This is seen a LOT in Arc 1.
2. She was trying to help the RainWings.
3. Why are you taking pity on the NightWings? They did far worse things than Glory could’ve done.

A Hive-Silk hybrid COULD have black scales if their mother was the HiveWing. Take Sunny for example. Does she has any NightWing qualities? No, because her mother was a SandWing. The mother has dominant genes.
@@jesseyu69420 Well I think that Sunny does have a few NightWing qualities, like the NightWing genes making her scale color darker yellow into a more golden color, the shape of her snout, green eyes, no barb like a NightWing tail, etc. Just less than her SandWing qualities.

I agree that darkstalker was a horrible dragon but he is a good villain in my opinion. I also like albatross. While I’m not excusing albatrosses actions. He was abused by his queen and turned evil because he used to much magic. It makes sense of why he turned his anger on his family.

Unpopular opinion: I strongly dislike Sunny- she is WAY too naïve and acts like a two year old dragonet until book five. While I do love book 5, I just feel like Sunny springs into being way more mature. Also please make a part 2, i loved seeing these unpopular opinions!

Hear me out - I think dragon slayer is a great book
My unpopular opinions:
1. I think that Queen Monarch should get a winglet bc she basically did nothing and was only mentioned a handful of times, plus I want to know why she gave up her leadership to Queen Wasp. I personally think Wasp threatened to have her family/children/husband or wife killed, so she doesn't just seem like a coward.
2. Snowfall and Lynx should get married. Honestly, the two were just such good friends in The Dangerous Gift, and if they became a real couple I would scream.
3. I am SUPER glad that Kinkajou defeated Darkstalker, bc it would be boring if Qibli or some other main character killed him, and also it was very unpredictable.
4. Queen Coral should die bc it would make a pretty interesting story since Tsunami doesn't want to be queen, and Anemone and Auklet are too young.
5. Sunny's love interest should be a girl bc we need more LGBTQ!
6. Anemone and Tamarin should get married. ❤
Swordtail is the only silk wing I care about. I agree with most of these but I have my disagreements. This was a good idea for a video and keep making more vids bc they’re always awesome!

Even though book ten being one of my favorite books, I didn’t like how Kinkajou turned Darkstalker into Peacemaker, it just reminded me on Hailstorm/Pyrite in book seven…..
Along with the lame plot twist in book twelve I thought that crickets dad was wasted potential
