The combination of the live-action environments and the 2D animation reminds me of Mo Willem's work on Knuffle Bunny. It's charming and bouncy and warms the heart.
Large Marge made me laugh as a kid and an adult (the clown hospital scene though...). Gmork scared me as a kid and still gives me shivers as an adult, especially now that I'm old enough to fully understand the meaning behind his dialogue.
