I find your reaction videos on Sobit Tamang truly heartfelt, very sweet, and throughly enjoyable. I am a Nepali who has been living abroad for more than half of my life, but my childhood was spent among Tamangs in Nepal, so it’s quite easy for me to see that Sobit and his sister are actually Nepali Tamang, despite being Indian by citizenship. I Really don’t know why they have not divulged their Nepali Tamang heritage, but I’ve heard Sobit sing fluently and beautifully in Nepali. As a matter of fact there are around 8 million people of Nepali descent living in India, and also about 7 million people of Indian descent living and working in Nepal as well. There is a growing Nepali diaspora in Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, the Gulf nations, USA, UK, and even in Tasmania(Australia), where Nepali is the third most widely spoken language after English and Chinese. Nepali people, like Indians and Chinese, fiercely cling to their heritage and culture wherever they go and live. Tamangs are a major Buddhist ethnic group from the Himalayan areas of Nepal, many of whom migrated to India, especially Sikkim, Darjeeling, Kurseong, Kalimpong, Shillong, and Assam areas of India, and the Kingdom of Bhutan as well. Tamangs are also an integral part of the famous Nepali Gurkha community, many of whom served, and are still serving, in the British and Indian Gurkha regiments with great valor and distinction. Tamangs are also very gifted musically, with Prashant Tamang, winner of Indian Idol Season 3 in 2007 ruclips.net/video/XJA29FVN3kw/видео.htmlsi=pNIEKLCFF251xXlk and Jetshen Dolma Lama (ethnic Tamang from Sikkim province of India), winner of the 2022 Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li'l Champs Season 9, ruclips.net/video/UyNQtfVktSk/видео.htmlsi=da0k5PbRF5gsHZXQ being but two other outstanding examples, apart from the young, amazingly talented, and very funny Sobit Tamang of course. Ethnic Nepali maintain their language, culture, religion, identity, and ethnicity whilst living in India and other foreign countries. The vast majority of the people of Sikkim, Darjeeling, Kurseong, and Kalimpong are Nepali. Also, about 500,000 Nepali live in Myanmar whose ancestors migrated there more than a century ago, but they still preserve their Nepali heritage, religion, language, culture, and identity, and regard themselves as Burmese citizen but of Nepali descent. What is more, the Burmese regard them as Nepali as well. There are many millions of Indians living all over the world as well, including in Nepal, Trinidad and Tobago, Suriname, South Africa, Kenya, the UK, America, and many more, but they are still all identified as people of Indian descent, although many migrated centuries ago while others literally just landed in their adopted country. Their DNA is still Indian, and not white Anglo-Saxon, or African, or Navaho.
You are my favorite reaction channel for Sobit.
