I believe the spiritual center, and ceremonies thing. No trees there cause duh, they used everyone for miles around. Same ole story de-nude the land of living stuff, the water stops flowing, rain stops falling. Uh...... lets move outta here. Nice story line in here about the stie however they missed the alien air strips, and where they kept the space craft. "Chaco" actually means ancient aliens who can fly and canyon, well.... you know that one right?
