Carter died at her home in Plains, Georgia, on Sunday with her family by her side, the Carter Center said. The best First Lady ever. A real humanitarian, not just there for the photo opportunities. Rosalynn Carter lived her life well and lived what she believed, a marvellous example to women and men everywhere. R.I.P to a true lady and prayers for her family, friends and everyone who loved and respected her. 🙏🍀
I remember when people went nuts because she wore the same gown to Jimmy's inauguration as she wore when he was sworn in as governor. Ever a frugal person, she especially didn't want to display decadence during such hard economic times. She should have been praised for being mindfully frugal instead of decadent. The reaction was a disgusting display of America's sense of entitlement and worship of the decadent wealthy.
She and Jimmy were deliberately misunderstood. As a team and individually they set the example as good and true Christians and thoroughly decent people. The conservative Christians never forgave them for it. As a non Christian and flaming liberal, I'll remember, for all the fallen Christians will surely fail to, how Roslyn and Jimmy always followed Christ.
Then came Nancy with her exclusive designer gowns and those stupid, wasteful White House plates. And the "followers of Jesus" rejoiced. Ain't that America...The US and the world would be lucky if we ever are blessed with leaders such as the Carters ever again.

They have always been admired by so many. The Presidency was really a relatively small part of their life and helping others. She was so elegant but never in a flashy way. You could not help but feel hoe genuine they both were. They were such a close couple and always holding hands or hugging each other that you old never doubt that their love only became stronger over the years. She will be missed but also always be known for her genuine care for others. I think she had an incredible meaningful life. Thoughts and prayers to her family come from the heart around the country.

What great role models. She and her husband started the Carter Center which supports countries which are building their governments based on rule of law; as well as eradicating diseases, especially in Africa. They have involved citizens as well in building houses for those in need in the US and other countries, bringing together people around the world who meet and together help the homeless and the aged and those in need to have a home. A remarkable couple and an underrated President. They exemplify the best qualities and values of Americans. Congress could learn a lot from them!!

We lost a very special real humanitarian we've lost.
Rosalynn Carter was the valedictorian of her high school class and was interested in mental health because a cousin was in and out of mental hospitals (which I can only imagine what they were like in 1930 ish!)
to be married for almost 8 decades is proof some people are ment to be together. Amazing 77 years. I thank them again for their life of service to a nation that needed it so much. Her shoe will be hard to fill. Love to Former President Jimmy. He will not be far behind.

I hope Jimmy can pass peacefully soon after a lot of times you hear love stories like theirs where one dies and minutes hours days later the other guys I'm honestly surprised she went so fast seen she just entered hospice and Jimmy's been in there since February hopefully he was hanging on just long enough to see her peacefully go and now he can let go knowing she has made it to the other side and she will be there waiting for him it's okay Mr President it is okay Go get your wife
That's what I think. He won't last much longer. I am not being mean or hateful saying this.
@@caroltaylor128 oh I know I wasn't being mean either I was just stating something you see a lot with couples who have been married and together as long as them a lot of times after one dies the other spouse soon after and he's been in hospice a lot longer she just had entered hospice a few days prior I'm thinking you know maybe he was holding on just long enough for her to pass on and then he can finally let go knowing she's okay he wanted to make sure she was safe and what better way to make sure she's safe before he passes on then she passes on
