There were orchestra and choir backing tracks, but all the main vocal lines (and the hardest ones) were Fabio. I can say without any doubt that he is one of the top singers I've ever mixed.
Fabio is a monster, but I really think they should lower the tone key a bit for some songs of the earlier days, so he could sing them more comfortable.
From what I've seen he seems to be actually sustaining better nowadays than back in the day. He would often avoid singing some of the highest parts, while now he seems to be having an easier time all along. He probably got some better technique that allows him to sing higher, although with some difference in texture.
@@Phasma_Tacitus The key of your comment is at the end: "although with some difference in texture". It's not only a matter of "reaching the high notes", but also about "how that high notes sound". I would definitely prefer him to lower the pitch and preserve the old "texture" on those higher notes.
