Teacher Tip 35: Be Professional I agree. Even if you're just teaching a bunch of little kids, you shouldn't go in dressed like a bum they hired off the street. Most of the time, I dress in a button-up shirt and pants or jeans. Clothes are clean and wrinkle-free. Shirt is tucked in. Pants are not too tight or baggy. One thing I like to do is have an extra set of clothes at work in case something happens to the ones I am wearing. Also, if you are like me, you have a lot of BO so make sure you bathe regularly and don't get all sweaty before work.
