Multiple tornadoes touch down in Maryland

- Numerous tornadoes were reported in Maryland and northern Virginia Wednesday night, knocking down trees and power lines. The National Weather Service issued five different tornado warnings across Maryland due to the severity of the storms.

When you consider the fact that the DC-Baltimore corridor is one of the most densely populated areas of the country, I think it's nothing short of a miracle that no one was killed in this tornado outbreak. Several of these tornadoes were evidently long-track tornadoes that stayed on the ground continuously for many miles. This situation could have easily been much worse!
I remember 5 years ago reading a report that stated tornadoes will become more frequent in the DMV area. Since then I think we’ve had 4 or 5. Gonna be a scary summer

I’m sorry I know a tornado touched down by my house just a mile away few months ago, TN here. Best and only thing I can say is invest in a shelter 100 percent worth every penny. ❤

This tornado seasons is probably one of the worst on record. It doesn't help that Tornado Alley is now shifting east towards more populated areas also.

Wasn't there a big outbreak in Ohio a few weeks ago.
It wasn't a fun Wednesday. I left home and drove south. Ended up in Beltsville and it was clear and just stayed there until the storm passed through Howard Co
people that dont live in tornado alley are not use to this the way their acting you would think it destroyed their whole town
As someone whose lived in Gaithersburg/Germantown my whole life with the exception of the last 5 years, it makes sense they’re acting this way. It is extremely rare and honestly unheard of for tornadoes to be in the area. Funnel clouds/warnings, sure, that’s relatively normal. But they don’t get actual tornadoes there so it is scary, especially knowing many people probably took the warnings with a grain of salt as they’ve always done

I live in maryland and my parents friends do too and the tornado hit multiple of their trees and it feel in the pool,trailer,garage roof, and batting cage so yeah that was kind of scary…
When something that big is coming, get in the basement. Do not stand there holding your phone. The phone will not protect you.

Tornados predate drilling. If anything, I’d argue paving everything and stacking massive buildings all over would impact the weather more than drilling.
Cities like L.A. have an issue with the pavement and structures holding on to residual heat long after the sun has set.
I live in Maryland and yes we've been getting tornadoes lately this to confirm it I did get a tornado warning last night in a couple weeks ago this is scary cuz you don't know what it is like when you know it's in your house my friends have also been getting this so yeah and believe me it feels like every single night now we're getting one cuz now we're getting more severe storms
