I don't understand why the company still has not learnt its lesson from last years advent calendars. Surely they could create an amazing calendar if it contained a few of their replicas or miniature versions rather than what looks like cheap, tatty items.
It’s about money, they sell it for more than it’s worth and they profit a lot more. This whole box shouldn’t have been more than $5. And that’s the value of the items in this box and in most of the world, kids can make these themselves by just printing and getting the stuff and sticks the prints to the stuff.
Supply and demand. It still sells, so no need for thrm to invest anymore to sell. They honestly probably invest less each year and still charge more. 😑😬😮💨😵

Absolutely! Cherry is so passionate about the Wizarding world that her products would definitely be a hit. Well designed Playing cards, miniature replicas, rare to find replicas I could definitely see it and I’m sure Cherry would have loads of other great ideas to add to these 24 or 25 magical surprises. 🖤
The pen is the only object with an ounce of creativity in the calendar. It's like how the map is a blank parchment when not in use, the pen is an unassuming object with a hidden map.
Regarding the pen with the 'sliding' map: in my country it was a huge thing to have a pen just like that in high school (15 years ago...), we called it the 'cheat pen' and you could write stuff to it (the canvas was plain) to cheat in a test 🤣 never actually used it but it was all the rage to have them
In my country (Argentina) it always came with the calendar for the present year on one side and on the other the one for the next year, it always felt quite fun to have those in school, seeing it in the video brought back that memory
As soon as you said "cinereplicas" I knew exactly what would be in that calendar. I totally agree with you. They just keep using the same cheap items and slapping a different picture on them. Thank you so much again for buying these calendars so we can get a good look at what's inside. I've actually bought quite a few after watching your videos. The giant Lush one, the harry potter potions one (which I'm still waiting to receive) and the Gingy Revolution one. I don't wait to open them either, I just dive right in, he he.

I actually have an idea for the thin canvas bag ! Fill with some potpourri and put it in your sock or underwear drawer. Or a reusable sandwich bag for a kid’s lunch , looks like you could launder it.
Firstly i love your advent calendar series every year. Personally as a parent I find any advent calender over £20 for kids is expensive and for me to pay over that it has to be special. Not only is this calender ridiculously over priced, I personally think even £10 is a push, in this more environmently aware world its horrendous.
Compared to the other calendars, I mayyyybe appreciate this the best? Like even the things like the pen, it at least has novelty value, compared to the ones with a random spell charm attached to it, it has a cohesive theme that it mostly sticks with, and the price point is one where you could think buying it for a younger fan (unlike the 80£ ones) and the items are properly unisex (no hair scrunchies or heart earrings).

The more I watch these, the more I want a kid’s version and an adult version. The adult can have more quality collectibles while the kid version can be like this one, but with more fun items.

I kind of like the stationery products. You could use the little bag as a pencil case to carry the pen, highlighter, paper clip, etc. I actually use little bags like that for my sock knitting projects lol

OMG!!! Cherry I am so delighted to see you .... wearing a sweater/jumper that is the exact same knitted design of the Afghan my Momma knitted for me in my childhood. That pen design I got from the Red Cross when I did my first aid training and it gave you the guidelines on how to do c.p.r , still have it and luckily have never needed to use it put still question if I was put in that situation would I be able to find the pen to get the guidance 😂
The creaters think people will buy just one of the calenders so think they can get away with using the same items but putting a higher price on certain ones but it's thanks to creators on RUclips like Cherry who expose the greedy sods.
Some of the other calendars you have opened this year you have been so excited that you said you didn’t want it to end. With this one you said you can’t wait to get to the end. That’s says enough really.
I like the highlighter being map colored. the pen is interesting so i don't have to retrieve the full sized map from its coverings. the stamp can be reused for wax seals. Sirius pin, eraser, magnet and badge are nice too.
I would love! To see a designated calendar by you, that would be so interesting. This calendar is so ridiculous funny and bad😅 (You forgot to say that door number 4 was your favorite number 😂)
They could have made the map so much cooler. Instead of using regular ink, use invisible ink that shows up with black light. And they could have used a replica of Remus or Sirius' wands with a built in black light.
An idea for the little drawstring bags is, I would stuff them with cotton batting and use them as room decor. They are cute and would look pretty nice grouped together like that I would bet on a shelf or table top. Love your videos so much.

So many of the products remind me of the freebies we get from drug companies in work with just a marauders map sticker on it. I've seen those pens with the pull out sheets with prescribing information printed on them for the advertised drug and that tape measure I've seen with various drug name branding on them. They clearly manufacture none of these items they pick a selection of random cheap items from a catalogue from some manufacturer and then slap their Harry Potter themed design branding on it.
I'm hoping this one means you got the Luna one as well! 😊 Also, I agree with you about the canvas bags. I might put in some potpourri and hang it in a closet or use it in a drawer.

Love your sweater. It looks festive and cozy. I wish there was more marauders stuff like more pictures of the characters and an anamagus set (rat, black dog, stag, and werewolf, just so Lupin can be included). I can picture more of their wands. Ooh a wand light that can find the invisible ink on the marauder’s map. For any kind of box, I would love to see items representing the different statues and passageways. I think one company dod the angel statue, but forgot which one.
When first looking upon this advent calendar on Amazon I first thought “Wow what an interesting looking HP advent calendar!” And now watching Cherry open it up I’m glad I didn’t buy it. But I do like the socks 🧦 Dobby😂

I feel like the new it was hard to open as they put the doors close together with the numbers 1 was next to two so when you rip it you didn’t ruin surprise as much. Seemed very cheap.
I think the fact that it would be hard to neatly open the doors so you could close them to have a nice looking display out in a family room until the final day is questionable. If I got it for a kid I would unbox it to remove that secondary paper and put it back before they got it.
Cherry, make a HP or magical advent calendar for us next year!! I'd so buy it if it can ship to the U.S. Also, I completely *lost* it when you were cutting open the sirius black chibi day, and you just ripped it after cutting it. lol amazing

I totally agree with everything you said plus I'd have been frustrated at an orange highlighter that had just had Marauders Map stamped on it. I kinda like the tiny map.... i do a lot of doll and action figure photography and i always find myself in need of tiny things...🤷♀️

I love those little pouches to keep my bag organized. One for chargers, one for pens and a notebook, one for cosmetics, etc.

For the price, this is a great set! Not for adults, but for the youngins that are Potter fans.
