Hi Niel! Impressive surfing, you are lucky to have those waves. I wanted to ask you what is your opinion of the peak 13mts, is it really possible to start in 4/5 knots?
I think 5 is the low end limit for the 13m. 5 gusting to 7 is definitely more fun. Kiting in that low of wind is fun but it’s definitely not as care free as 10+. If draw out at jibe too long and slack the lines you very likely will be swimming. But it’s a great insurance policy to ride when everyone else is on the beach. Would be curious to compare with a 10m soul though. Might be more fun in the light wind as you could actually do some jumps. peaks are not for jumping.
