Welcome to my channel! This is a music reaction channel. For the longest time, I've loved creating content on the internet. I started off with a gaming channel right here on RUclips, which eventually turned into a Twitch gaming channel, but as time has gone on I've evolved into doing other things on RUclips. For years now I've wanted to create a music channel on RUclips, and recently just figured "why not?", so it’s time to give this a go! Give me any suggestion you have for music reactions, and I will do my best to get around to them. As music has fallen further out of my life, I figured this would be a great time to get reintroduced to music.

The album this song is from is highly conceptual and story driven, so the part where he says "Hop out, do you bang?" and the lines about the choppa are in reference to previous songs and parts of the story within the album.
I recommend listening to "Mother I Sober" from Kendrick's most recent album.
It's one of the most emotional and touching songs I have ever heard and it's a lot easier to follow what is being said than some of his other songs.
That or "u" from To Pimp A Butterfly, where he is talking to himself in a hotel room. He is a masterful songwriter, storyteller, lyricist, rapper and actor (by actor I mean a conveyor of emotion).

i think you might be really into JID’s stuff. you pretty much cant miss with anything from The Forever Story, but Never is also a great starting point :)
If you want to try out someone different and lyrical you should listen to Mick Jenkins. He's a Chicago rapper that's pretty unique. P's & Q's would be a good first song.

The drinking is also considered liquid courage most people who do drive by or kill people are usually not sober, just my opinion, so the ending fits well.
