The fact that this is almost all actual in game footage is astounding. There’s a certain cinematic and picturesque feel to the whole game. The art design is absolutely incredible.

My friend played this on a laptop. It's not a bad laptop but not a top of the line either. The fact that something this beautiful can be so well optimized and still look so stunning is also a work of art.

Well optimised? I don't think we're looking at the same game. The game is beautiful, but the actual graphical fidelity (model, texture and effect details) are on par with games from 10 years ago. The engine just isn't great, so performance is severely lacking.

@@simongomes7250 i always loved fromsoft lore in their games but because the games are so liniar, so small main path no real exploration but in ER you have this lore accurate world without limits. You can go to every location in your own way and have a unique journey compared to other ER players. This is what makes ER unique compared to past fromsoft games. Best fromsoft game. Not even close

That’s the thing I would of jus said cool thought nothing of it too much but when I actually started to play souls game and pay close attention it was mind blowing I jus started playing through them all now I’ve completed them all several times and DLCs too
My mom loves elden ring art and screenshots
This was my first souls game and it changed my entire perspective on games. Before it was FPS and ADHD riddled gameplay, but Elden Ring forced me to learn patience, enabled me to focus more on open world games (something I struggled with for my entire life) it taught me a whole new way of playing games.
I’ve since beaten Elden Ring 7+ times, and I’m almost finished with my Souls Journey.

I try to get my friends into souls games but they keep going back to fps games and as you said, ADHD riddled gameplay. It makes my soul hurt.

No doubt this game will go down as one of the best games ever created. By far one of the most memorable gaming experiences I have ever had.

Replayability factor is disappointingly low for me though
@@Atomy111 I find that so ironic. It has the most variety in progression, weapons, equipment, enemies and even 6 different endings. I will never understand why people say that.
@@a5hen I've made like 20 different characters with different builds and themes across the ps4 and ps5 version of the game. I literally downloaded the game again on another version because I ran out of slots. I'd say it has replay value lmao
@@a5hen The sheer scale of the game is what kills replayability for me. The past Soulsborne games I'd just steamroll the whole thing in 8-10h on subsequent playthroughs while ER takes like 50h or so. Still, it's mostly a me thing as these days sadly I don't have much time for longer playthroughs. Also, my first run was memorable enough for me so I don't consider that exactly as a problem.
What I hope to see from the dlc is that feeling of no Matter how much you explore there will always be more out there!

I can’t wait to experience new content that the DLC will bring. The initial moments walking into areas like Nokron, Caelid, and more during my first play through are so special and memorable. Starving for that feeling again…
Elden Ring was my first souls game. I was glued to my computer for weeks after I got it about 2 weeks after launch. That feeling of exploring the game is indescribable. June 21st couldn't come soon enough!
The first game to make me feel this way since Skyrim all those years ago!

@LaCazaLP Don't play then, elden ring is an amazing game and the dlc will be even better. Totally worth the 40$ price tag it has. People also forget that it was originally gonna be 2 dlc but they combined them into one big one.
@@LaCazaLPthen you can miss out. I will happily support a dev team that takes their game seriously and pours every ounce of passion they can into it. This game is built off of blood sweat and tears and it shows in all the little and large details. If you don’t wanna support that, that is on you.
2 years of some of the best music, visuals, boss fights, storytelling, and all around experience that can be found in the medium of video games.
The main motif of this game's soundtrack is so incredible. I really hope that Fromsoft keeps it in the DLC. HUGE props to Alex Roe for taking it up a notch

This is very emotional for me. I have been though a lot in this two years, lot of changes, important people entering and dissappearing from my life, but Elden Ring was always there for me. My comfort zone and my place to escape from the reality. I know there are a lot of other games, i have enjoyed other Fromsoftware games, but Elden Ring opened a whole other world, playing a game and at the same time enjoying a well made book. Thank you VaatiVodya for giving all of us your videos explaining lore, and showing all your hard work and love for the game. Two years of Elden Ring, but we'll have a couple more with the DLC!

@@19okan I was pleasantly surprised and happy about the release date. There were rumors going around that it was still a while before release which had my thinking it was going to be 2025. 3 months is nothing although it will most likely be a really long 3 months lol.

I remember being bummed out that the Dark Souls series had ended, little did I know we would get something beyond any expectation I possibly had. One of the greatest, if not the greatest game I've ever played. Will definitely go down as a timeless classic. Masterpiece through and through and still have go just sit back and awe of the art style, scenery, beauty and hard work they put into this game. So excited for the DLC.
When you hear that "Final Battle"/Menu theme kick in it felt like hearing it start to play when facing down Radagon for the first time! Chilllllls

Honestly they should probably make game trailers more like this. It made me feel like playing again, and I cannot imagine how I would feel if this was the first footage I saw from a game yet to be released

the february 2022 was difficult to me yet this game helped me to abstract myself from reality for a while. this world is just perfect, the bosses, the music... man the game is just a pure masterpiece

This is breathtaking, phenomenal job
Not that I was gone for long, but the DLC trailer brought me back in and I couldn’t be happier.
There’s something truly magical about just walking around somewhat aimlessly and finding your path. Even now after beating all the major challenges NG+3 in and thinking I’ve combed every inch of the game, I’m still finding new items and secrets for the first time.
The wait we had feels like a far off memory now… and in 2 years I’ve gained fun thrill and intrigue in ways I wouldn’t have expected in a lifetime otherwise.
