3:35 This part is something I cannot explain. Its just like the original picture of Mona Lisa. The first chord scares you, but the second one hits your emotions. Similar are the next chords. I don't know why but I really felt it.

Yes, the first one scared me.
Musical tension is built up to that moment, then the chords you hear are chromatism with glissando, they play X note and then the finger is dragged to the lower next semitone. This makes you feel you are being kind of dragged down. It is a very powerful resource and Ben Frost used it VERY wisely :)

I think it isn't even electronical, its orchestral. But maybe they changed some things digitally I don't know.

It keeps reminding me of the soundtrack of Interstellar. Those epic "something really weird is about to happen" moments are so brilliantly captured with those low strings interrupting the otherwise mystic overall atmosphere. Brilliant stuff!

god,,, the interstellar soundtrack is such a work of art. check out any other movie zimmer has done work for! he usually is featured on nolan flims. his soundtracks for the dark knight trilogy are awesome!

If you like interstellar you should check Cosmos by Murcof, look for it on spotify I'm sure you will like it.
It reminds of The Revenant OST, Sakamoto delivered great stuff.
Dark is one of those shows along with Chernobyl that I would like to experience in a true IMAX Screen
I gotta say Dolby is better than IMAX. At least the AMC near me, one theatre entrance has huge blue glow around it. It has *luxery* touchscreen adjustable seats, the seats shake with the loudness and strength of the music and sounds, and it uses Dolby vision and all the Dolby sounds (atmos and all that to make it surround sound.(if you don’t know atmos, it’s where it bounces sound off the ceiling and walls to redirect it from every single direction)) The screen is about the same size as IMAX, and when I saw DUNE in IMAX, then in Dolby, I gotta say, Dolby is more expensive but much more worth it. Best quality thing I’ve ever seen. Every movie I see from now on, I hope it comes on Dolby.

I believe the strings everybody's talking about at 3:35, is trying to mimic the Doppler effect, which is what the Doppler family name is inspired from. I am always frustrated how few viewers have noticed this.

This series lives up to every expectation.
this tv show is amazing but so underrated even until now ,i hope a lot of people watch this.
I love this song in its entirety, if it wasn't for the incredible first part, the 3:35 onward segment wouldn't cause the same impact. Its a perfect soundtrack and it creates the perfect atmosfere for the whole series. Amazinh work by Ben Frost. Its a great serie overall

Love this score, I feel like it matches the series so perfectly. To me, it feels heavy, intense, and epic. It reflex the series so good because most of the characters are going throught something, they care so much stuff in their back. With this soundtrack, it feels like it's dragging on as if it is too heavy.

The part that starts at 03:35 reminds me, by the chills that it gives me, of the X-Files theme song. Although totally different song and type of tv(net) show the chills are the same. Something unnatural about it, something that can't be easily described with words.
