Eric cogorno is one of the best on RUclips. Glad you were able to find him he's simplifies the process very easy to understand. Also try Paul Wilson golf School he teaches effortless swing. From beginner golfers to senior golfers a must-see.
Yes I agree, I have tried it with that short controlled back swing that will ensure the good quality of the impact. Good distance and good direction. Cheers from Indonesia.
Of the secondary channels that RUclipsrs are creating this is one of the best I'm truly enjoying it. Please keep adding the links to the original videos. You are doing a great job keep up the good work 👍👍
That was by far, the best swing I've seen you make since watching your channel!!! I think the drill makes a lot of sense and a keeper for sure. I will give it a go tomorrow.
Just subscribed! Much appreciate your breakdown of Erics valuable lesson! I got one for ya... The great Danny Maude is taking a lesson from the Greater Pete Cowen . If you could analyze it, that would be superfantastique! Thankyou ..john m
I am a new subscriber to your channel and I am finding it so useful and easy to follow. My pitching for 40 - 80 yard shot is killing me and often hit shanks and tops, I would pay anything to help me sort this out but was hoping for some help from your channel. Thanks a lot
where do you feel you are generating the speed from? Would like you to tell us if it's generated by your arms, wrists, legs or core? Thanks. Great drive at 6:20!
Good question, I would say it is the concentration on driving through the ball at impact into the top of the swing that generates a better rotation, so I would say legs/core is the driving force to make this happen
My average SS is 95mph and I was doing the half swing a month ago at the range to work on hips and follow through. I was surprised and a bit disappointed that my swing speed only dropped a few mph and felt effortless....
So this was the Andy and Hannah channel before... right? I was wondering how I subscribed to "Testing the Tips". I would have subscribed anyway but why did you cancel the Andy and Hannah channel? I actually enjoyed that travel series. Evidently you stopped producing content for that channel because I received no notifications for content in some time. I will definitely enjoy this "Testing the Tips" channel but it would be nice to still follow your travels throughout the UK still. Maybe include some of your travels a little more on "The Average Golfer" channel again. I have not been in the UK since 1991 so I enjoy that. I am definitely going to try the drill from today. Hopefully my irons and driver get some distance and accuracy improvements.
I would have liked to see a swing speed monitor of some kind in this video so we can see how much improvement in swing speed there might be here. I confess that I doubt that this would make any difference in my swing speed. I've done a lot of speed training lately and I know from that how to generate speed. It's not an easy thing to do and I can't imagine this little drill making any difference.
@@johnatchley9754 I don't know what prompted you to make that reply, but here are the facts. I have a body fat 13.8 is 78 years old. This is due to a lifetime of working out and proper nutrition.
@@alvermeil5884 please don’t be offended. As noted, I saw your typo, due no doubt to the gremlins of autocorrect, and just couldn’t resist the play on words. I’m 82, and life is way too short. A little shared humor and laughs makes it better.
For some reason, I just cannot generate driver distance over 180 yards. It's uncanny, despite lessons, range time, watching hours and hours of instructional videos.
I was hoping for a drill I could do between running on to the tee at the next medal and the 5 seconds I had before tee off. However, there’s no way I am fitting the suggested 10 reps into 5 seconds. Maybe I’ll manage to fit 1 rep in but I’m not convinced that will fix my game. Where is the “5 second” aspect of this drill? We all know there is no 5 second drill to fix your swing so why put up the click bait headline if not to draw mugs like me in?

You have broken this down for me perfectly! Thank you so much for your time

Thank you, this must be one of the best tips I have seen, tried, and found extremely beneficial.
Been doing this since hip replacement, my swing speed using this technique is 105-110 mph. averaging 260-280 yds off the tee. This works brilliantly!
That was a great video Looking forward to the next one
Best drive I've seen you hit, mate 🎉
Good video, have you watched GRF. Good explanation, cheers
Chris Ryan has some great videos as well
Good stuff!!

Thanks. This should become a pressing drill for all clubs, wedges, putter excuse☺☺
Great video 👍 What course are you on? 🍻

I will definitely try this practice routine out.
Hope it goes well
Andy, new driver? What happened to your red and white UST Pro Force shaft?
Honest drill, he is the best of the best , no need to check others in RUclips .🙂

It would be interesting if you would get on a lunch monitor and see if it's increasing or clubhead speed distance and your full swing.
My lunch monitor back in the day would in no way let me “get on her”!! Just sayin…
A lunch monitor might help you gain speed by losing some weight around the middle, right?😊

@alvermeil5884 to be fair, it was a play on launch vs lunch . My good wife is my lunch monitor. : )

1- I've been doing the drill and think it helps. 2- Gosh, what a beautiful hole next to a glorious pasture.
Yes! BEAUTIFUL . I would hit 2 or 3 o b , just to enjoy the view longer! Where is this location ?
