- The family of Spanish Fork teen Reagan Shiffler, who died on Monday, says she was able to donate her organs in what can only be described as a miracle.

This right here!! A friend long ago when I first began driving said this to me and I can't tell you how many times we've been close to being hit head on 😢. The most recent one was a huge red diesel truck, luckily no one was hit. The other was a motorcycle which would have scared my family upon seeing what "could" have happened to that reckless young man. People forget they are driving a literal weapon. 😢😢😢

She was. She passed at 88 minutes.
Her obit says she donated ❤, liver & kidneys.

Her body still lived because her heart was beating but she was dead; after removing life support they prayed that she would finish dying quickly so that she could go to heaven and her organs could be donated, so that her death was not in vain and she could fulfill her desire to help others when she chose to be an organ donor. Obviously it's not what they wanted for their daughter, they wanted her to live and be healthy and have a normal life but that was not possible. They had already lost her...

So sorry! It literally the MOST SELFLESS GIFT anyone could decide to do with their loves one!!! I was a student at a hospital and I was on a surgery rotation where my young aunt's gift of Hope was happening. The surgery crew was SOOO generous with information of how the surgery went and what organs were able to be used!!! ❤.

It is an amazing and beautiful thing that we have the ability to utilize organ donations to help others…you have got to be kidding me though that this news story included such a bizarre additional fact regarding prayers to live that were then reversed into prayers that someone would pass away instead and in a convenient timely manner. It’s such a sad situation that these young women were hit and lost their lives and the spin in the story regarding the prayers just added a bizarre tone and I feel took away from the significance of everything in totality.

Thank you for her donations. My sister ìn law broke her leg about amonth ago in 3 places and Thursday 1 week ago my husband a Radiologist. saw her lab reports and her liver was severe. Her Dr the surgeon wanted her to wait till August to see a Dr. My husband told his brother to take her to ER, AND THEY DID TEST, AND SHE WAS IN severe LIVER FAILURE READY TO DIE WITHOUT LIVER. They flew her to Philadelphia Sunday night, they found a liver match mid west somewhere. That was a match, and they did surgery that night she is now off ventilator, and all test are looking good. Thank God for her doner.

My cousin was 13 and dying. 1982. Even back then, having "grown up" mostly in a children's hospital and his mom being the DON at our local hopital, he wished that the cancer wasn't EVERYWHERE so that he could have donated organs. RIP MARK! And my sincerest condolences to the family and friends of this beautiful child 😢😢😢
