TO DATE....in my opinion....THIS BATTLE SCENE is the best computer animated space battle since Star Wars Return of the Jedi. I'm 38. I saw Star Wars in the theater in 1978. I've seen lots of movies and THIS scene was very very well done!
The whole movie should have been like this. Keep the space battles and those kickass space planes, keep the awesome retractable helmet, keep Gary Oldman, Matt Leblanc, and that fella with the raspy voice, LOSE the spiders and the whole time warping contraption, rewrite the dialogue, add a couple lightsabers, maybe a sexy brunette- and you've got yourself one helluva kickass movie. DO IT, HOLLYWOOD!

Too bad the cliche' dialogue was cheesy and corny...otherwise, this would be the best SPACE BATTLE scene ever made.
And also a touch of Athena from Jovian Chronicles in the global shape, though this one was a destroyer not a fighter ^-^
