I wish they could have been in the sequel but it just didn't seem possible. It would have been nice though if the Maitlands were remembered with a photo or two on a wall, or a mantel. Maybe even a visit to their grave sites after the funeral scene, but they got barely a mention. That WAS disappointing.

Love this scene. Makes me laugh all the time. I think this was lacking in the new beetlejuice movie. His excitement and enthusiasm in part 1 was what made that movie. Part 2 was missing many of the characters from the original movie. I was very disappointed with beetlejuice 2 movie. Too much cursing and horrible script.
Yeah I enjoyed the new one but he wasn't as wacky and physically hilarious. He admitted in recent interviews that he's 73 and he can't get up anymore but the dialogue he can still do. He's a legend so I'll take it for what it is. 😎
