What a fright! I’m so glad the man was OK. I don’t do heights! I’ve never flown, and I never will. I’m sure that was hard on your nervous system. I hope he’ll be OK. Bless you for going out and trying to give them advice because it probably is difficult for him to show any vulnerability in front of his coworkers. One side of my house is three stories because I have a walkout basement and when people go up there to clean the gutters or do something on the roof, I’m nervous the whole time waiting to hear a thud. (That doesn’t mean I couldn’t have done something indoors, but I guess I was just lazy.) I did start to play some music that he liked, as you suggested, but then I started crying and I’ve been having trouble with acid reflux lately, and I didn’t want to push my food up, so I had to turn it off. About 25 years ago, I was shot from a bullet coming through the adjoining wall between my old townhouse and my neighbors. I was scared and bleeding, but didn't actually FEEL anything for hours. It was wild!) Anyway, been already feeling 'off' all day. Learned an old friend unalived himself this week (which also brought back feelings of his older brother -- who'd been my best friend in my 20s -- who'd unalived himself back in 2020). And with all that's going on in the US right now (the crazy weather -- we're having record lows in Atlanta, the fires in LA, the scary person that's heading up the country again, etc etc), I've just been trying to stay as calm and grounded as I can in all the chaos. Off! P.S. Was debating about changing a bulb in a high up ceiling light today, but after Ladder Man, I think I'll wait another day or so for that after this reading!
