Shit I can't believe you pulled out Septic Death. I remember Pushead from the t-shirts. He also used to design graphics for Zorlac Skateboards in the 80s
I'd have... Trenchmouth - comedian Fred Armisen played drums. Ink & Dagger - comedian Eric Wareheim was in. This Machine Kills - DJ Steve Aoki was the front person. Whelm - actor Keir Gilchrist is the front person The Rentals (calling these punk is a push to be fair) - actor (and daughter of Minnie Riperton) Maya Rudolph ayed keyboard and did backing vox.
Speaking of skateboarders, old school skateboarder Steve Caballero plays guitar in a San Jose, California, (me birthplace), punk band called The Faction. I had the Good Fortune of being able to see them play add an indoor skatepark in Sand City, California. This was about 2003, 2004
Alex Desert, who sang for 90s ska band Hepcat - signed to Hellcat Records - is in Swingers, with Jon Favreau. He's the guy who always says "This place is dead anyway."
Moby did a punky guitar album during his popular period. After GO! but before he became proper famous. He covered ‘that’s when I reach for my revolver” by Battalion of Saints. Played in the Krazy House.
Moby's 'everything is wrong' is a fantastic LP. I knew he was in VC, the amount of skaters/HC kids/ Punks in the 'Feeling so real' video, you knew even if you didn't, he was close to the HC scene.
Honestly being as old as I am I thought this was going to be a stupid post. But I tip my hat to you. Both of you exhibit wide-ranging taste in music. There's so much proto punk and punk that is undiscovered by the masses. I wish you both continuing success. By the way, I don't want to be insulting by guessing. Where are you both from? I can tell your accents are from Western Europe, like the very Western end of Europe and I'm not talking to continent
Bit suprised not to see black flag here guys. Henry rollins is easily the biggest celebrity to emerge from hardcore. Also flea from the chilli peppers was the original bassist in fear, as evidnced in the first decline of western civilisation film
First person that came to mind when I read the title was John Doe from X, also an actor, you might know him from Road House... Then there's Lee Ving, you know what band he came from, also an actor, Mr. Body in Clue and whatever his character's name was in Streets of Fire... Lydia Lunch, New York no-waver, a dozen music projects, author, spoken word performer and an actress of sorts in several of those weird art movies that came out on Film Threat back in the day... And then, of course, there's Henry...
Oh! Almost forgot that guy from Oingo Boingo, whatshisname, uh... Scored movies for that one guy that directed those films about, what, Jerry Screwdriverhands, or somethin', and some Headless Horseman movie, what was that called? Same actor is in those movies a lot of the time, whatshisname, uh, Jonnie something or another... I don't know if Oingo Boingo is punk, exactly, but that dude, he's pretty famous, Danny... Dwarfman, or... ...somethin'?
@@TiedDownTV Know who I also forgot about but just remembered that I probably should've thought of immediately? Debbie Harry- Remember when she was in Videodrome?

Ad Roc (Adam Horovitz) was in the Young And The Useless before joining the Beastie Boys (who was still a punk band at the time).
Saw Young & Useless at CBGBs with the Bad Brains in 1983 and have pix. Saw Beastie Boys the same week. 😊🔥
Adrock also played bass in DFL for a bit.
Sticking with Germs you had Pat Smear who also played with Nirvana and Foo Fighters.
I'd have...

Brandon Cruz from Dr. Know was a child actor in a show called The Courtship of Eddie’s Father.

Yeah I heard he played the krazy house. It's a decent album that to be fair, haven't heard it in a while
Foo Fighters really do have a legendary lineup, and most of their fans don't even know what bands those members were in.
Richard Edson from Do The Right Thing and Ferris Beuller was Sonic Youths first drummer, you can see him on the cover of their first EP.
You are joking,right?
That's cool, wasn't aware of that!
Sonic Youth's first drummer was Bob Bert who eventually drummed for Pussy Galore.
Allison Mosshart (the Kills, Dead Weather) was in Discount
I got told that the singer from Danzig was apparently in the Misfits.
😂
And what about Ben Stillers band?
American politician Beto o’rourke was in a band with Cedric from At The Drive In

Ben Stiller played drums in a punk band called capital punishment that put out a record in 81 that got repressed in 2018
It was called roadkill
We were ment to mention this at the beginning of the video and both totally forgot 😂
Mick Hucknall from Simply Red was in The Frantic Elevators

Thanks very much for the kind words! We're from the UK, just outside Liverpool
