Hope you enjoyed PART TWO! In case you haven't seen it yet, ▶️ watch PART ONE here ➡ bit.ly/correctiveskillsPARTONE Comment below if this video helped you or if you've ever tried these tips rollerskating! If you have any video requests you'd love to see on my channel, feel free to drop those below in a comment! Park or street trick tutorials, roller skating skills, rollerskate item reviews, etc. I'm here to help out & hopefully encourage you along the way
I'll be honest, of all the skating content I've searched for this past year, your channel has become my favorite. You're very knowledgeable and you teach in a way that makes it less intimidating. Thumbs up lol. And I love the new hair.
Toe stops are underrated. It's surprising how many people are better than me at skating but see their toe stops as useless or a newbie tool. The toe stop push off is better than the t stop push off.
This was ACTUALLY helpful. I like that you offered corrective tips. It’s exhausting to watch videos that just talk about the same things over and over, trying to sift through to see if there’s anything different between them. But this one was great!
Truth out: your videos have been the most helpful in terms of beginner tips and tricks. I'm very new (like 1 week skating) so finding your gem of a channel has me instantly subscribed. Imma need your channel to blow up with subs, it's too good.
I was a roller queen in 1980 LOL They say if you do something you love you'll stick with it so went out and got me a new pair of skates. Much came back but your videos filled in the blanks, especially your drills. Thank you so much for all the help and great tips, you're awesome on skates! This 52 yr old is grateful and it doesn't bother me at all that I'm the oldest chick on wheels on my block. Transitions next!
Baby skater here! I literally just made a list of drills for myself out of the balancing tips video, the 5 drills to improve at rollerskating video and these 2 videos! I love that you show your drills/tips on flat skates. I learned pretty quickly that I prefer flat skates over heeled skates and I feel like people don't talk enough about the differences. Thanks for excellent content! I'm looking forward to having fun while improving my skills! One day I'll be confident enough for the skatepark 😎😍
Hi! Thank you for a great tutorial. I am a 48 year old putting on the skates again after 30 years! I watched a couple tutorials which we not good. I love your style! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Is like more tips on transitions and backwards skating! I’m comfortable skating forwards and shifting weight but the technical stuff is still a work in progress
The tips apply to those skills for sure! Yay, that's great- the technical stuff comes, you'll get it! If there's anything specific you'd like to see (tutorial, skill) broken down & taught video in the future, lemee know!
Such a great teacher! Thank you for sharing in such a humble, gentle, and generous way. Also, your SKIN w that hair color and pink beanie is as smooth and glowy as strawberry ice cream!!! LOVE your unique look!
My roller skating was entirely self-taught forty years ago. I knew about edging in snowboarding (and other places, heh) but didn't consider that it was helpful for roller skates. Crazy!
I recently started skating again after 40 years off. Ha! I'm lovin it & your training videos. Thank you So Much! Im wondering about the Skate key that came with the skates & how best to use it? Your editing skills are Amazing!!
This is the greatest skate video of all time ! This literally answered every single question I’ve had ! I just bought some new skates and was really trying to understand the fundamental things . I have the rolling / skating straight part down but I needed other insight ! Thanks !!!
AHH I LIVE FOR THESE COMMENTS YESS Thank you for letting me know this was helpful to you, that's what I make these videos for. You got this! Happy you found my channel and this video! I'm posted another videos soon that gives similar tips and new drills to try so stay tuned for that one :)
i love the figure 8 drill, I’m going to practice this. i got skates for christmas! i feel like my skates don’t turn as easy as yours do? if that makes sense? they don’t seem to glide. are my wheels to tight? i learned afterwards that the skates we ordered aren’t the BEST so i’m wondering if that’s part of it? i thought they’d be fine for me to learn on at first.
A video I’d love to see is how people with tight hips can do transitions. I’ve been working on stretches to try to get them more flexible, and I’ve gone from putting my feet in an L shape to putting them in a V shape, so it seems the stretches are slowly working. But if there’s a way I can do transitions WITHOUT needing to be able to go heel-to-heel, I’d love to learn it! I love your videos! Well, I’ve only seen this one and Part One, but I love the many angles and examples of what to do and what not to do! Thank you!
I’ve just watched a bunch of your videos back to back and you are my new favorite skate-spirator. Thank you! I’m learning to skate for the first time and on day 20 fell hard on my ass so these videos have been great during a skate break. If I had watched sooner I may not have a sore tailbone right now!!
PS, I took my very first "Hard" fall yesterday. (Trying little jumps over parking lot lines) (what was I thinking😏)Seems I'm feeling the worst on right side bum cheek. PRAISE God i had protective gear on... All but my bum☺ Do you have any reccomendations on padded undies or shorts or any protective gear for the Big Bum Bounce fall??
I’m binging your videos and they are fantastic!!! I’m shocked you’re not raking in 100k views. Nonetheless I shall continue enjoying your wisdom! Keep on keeping on cause you’re AWESOME ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Ah thank you! I am sure they will get there in their time :) Your support and encouragement is SO appreciated. I'm grateful you found my channel and are enjoying the videos I made for you!
@@simon_slays55 you’re welcome! Also i have to ask, how long have you had those vans skates?? Did you build them yourself? Can you make a video on custom skates? I’ve been curious on how comfortable and supportive those types of skates are as I’ve thought of doing my own custom pair of skates
Literally only my 4th day on rollerskates and I'm loving how scared I am to fall 🤣 but am definitely going to work on some of those drills! Please post more drills if you have any others🙏
i love how watching a video is way more easy then to remember to do all this things on the right time (btw, was super helpful and you are amazing, thank you
There is SO much good information in both of these videos. You explain everything so clearly. I’m on day 5 and I’m going to start implementing your advice ASAP. Thank you so much 💫🥰
Just put skates on first time in about 40 years. Scary. Took baby steps across floor. Skates want to run off without me and I'm not ready to go that fast.
I need help!!! I really want to pick up roller skating but I want to know if I should get regular skates or incline. I’m not sure which is better or what does what. If anyone has advice pls lmk💙
