I just love your patterns, just to give you a tip if you would like,so you dont get a seem that goes down on an angel,if you would chain one instead of two, then do your dc in the same space your seem will stay even :) Like i said i love your patterns and how you explain is wonderful..thank you :)
Gorgeous! I am definitely getting my hook and yarn out to crochet a couple of them. You are a talented designer and teacher. Thank you kindly for sharing your talents. Look forward to all your tutorial. Your father is doing an amazing job with capturing the detail of your work on these tutorials...thank you!!!
A lovely tutorial and very well explained and easy to follow. I hope you don't mind me suggesting that you could easily carry your contrast yarn up as you are only doing one row of contrast and then swapping back to your main colour This way it eliminates having to cut the yarn and sew in all the ends. Thank you and best wishes :)
I used a 4mm hook as I wanted a newborn to 3 month size. I think what I ended up with is about newborn to 2 months. the hood doesnt lay down as nicely as the one you made.. it is skinnier of course. I did compare it to a newborn sleeper with a hood and it should be okay I hope. It is a gift. Thanks for the video/instructions. It was my first ever sweater.
Yay I found it lol! Love this project too, of course. I have 3 kids so when I see lil kids things I gtta make it! Thnks again for everything I dnt knw how u do it girl. Awesome! 💫ur #1fan ~Sande
Hi and thank you for this video. This was ver y easy and understandable. When I make another one this time I will go in the back stitch because the other way I had a hard time with the neck. I came out with 49 stitches instead of 50 but I kept going because you can't tell. Normally I would pull it all out but I felt this time it was too much work.
Hi Nadia, This is adorable. I am expecting my very first grandchild and I am eager to crochet but we still don't know the gender of the baby. My daughter-in-law would love a hoodie sweater and I just found this. Do you think it could be made with Hobby Lobby's Comfy Cozy yarn #2 size weight. If I used the same size hook as you suggest or even one size down, do you think this would work? I'd love to use some of my stash yarn. Thank you.
Not really sure what I am doing wrong here...I am not a new crocheter and have made this sweater before...but my stitch count is NOT the same as yours...I just finished row 3 and I am already at 70dc with the 4sc...it looks perfect...nothing wonky...so I am very confused...I have already ripped it out and redone it and really don't want to rip it out again...any ideas what I might be doing wrong??? I am making this for my very first grandchild...he will be here in Nov and the baby shower is in Oct...so I am super excited but hoping to make several of these for him so I need to figure out what is going wrong. Thanks for any help you can give me!
Very frustrating. After I make the arm holes in rd 7 you say we should have 54 sts but I only have 44- no matter how many times I’ve pulled it out and I redo it it’s always the same. I’m flummoxed.
I started 3 times and I would give up after 4th row each time as I always ended up with way more stitches. I paused the video so many times and looked very closely, but still cannot figure out where my mistake is?
anyway you can can adjust this pattern for for a 3 yr old and six year old I have been looking everywhere for a great hoodie pattern even just first row and where you form sleeve
I tried n tried but your count is wrong on row 3 you said 66 n it 70 like it on the written pattern, I am confused on it but I am going stick with what I see on the written pattern n see what happened. thanks
Yes, I made a huge mistake in this video and the written instructions are what is correct. Please follow the stitch counts in the written pattern and not from what I say in the video. Thank you for your comment. Again, my apologies for the mistake! ~Nadia
Fuad Azmat / YARNutopia by Nadia thank you for getting back with me so quickly n I appreciate what you said , I thought I was going crazy at first but then I figured something was wrong with the video. so thanks
on row 7 I got 13 then DC to make the arm hole but I got 21 before the next arm hole and on row 6 I counted 74. what am I doing wrong on row 7 to get 21 before the next arm hole????
I would love to make one for my dad and he likes his shirts big so he would need a 2x or 3x..... can I just make it a bigger chain to make it fit him.......
I cant get the count right. You start with 50.. and add on 4 v stitches.. that equals 58. You go around again and add on 4 v stitches again.. that's 8 more.
This is perfect for my first baby sweater. Thank you for the details, pace, and closeups!

I keep getting 44 as well. It looks fine, so I'm just going with that.
what about the seem its still not down the middle and yes i change it to one chain and put one double chain in the same stitch
Same for me
I started 3 times and I would give up after 4th row each time as I always ended up with way more stitches. I paused the video so many times and looked very closely, but still cannot figure out where my mistake is?

i feel the same way in row 7 i get 48 chain not 54

I have the exact same..
The stitch count is off in the video. With the v stitch rows you are adding 8 stitches each row.
were can I find the pants for this I have looked and looked
I would love to make one for my dad and he likes his shirts big so he would need a 2x or 3x..... can I just make it a bigger chain to make it fit him.......
