Always love a Lotus Cortina they seemed to be out in force on the day you were there, pre airflow examples as well! I was scratching my head a bit with the Mini Cooper S wondering where the fuel tanks were then I thought oh they must be inside due to the regulations realising I had seen a 'tina' being filled from inside the boot. Must not forget the Mk1 Capri that seemed to go quite well. The old BMW looked a treat and I liked the colour. Plenty of Jaguar models too. Thanks Rick for the video, most enjoyable. 👍👍
I went to Oulton Park a lot in the 60's, PROPER motor racing day's !! I also worked at a local Ford main dealers for many years, being able to work on Lotus Cortina's, Twin Cam Escort's plus we were a dealer for American Ford's like Mustang's, LTD's, etc. As a young motor sport fanatic, I was in my element !!
Great to see such a large Jaguar contingent. I often think the sound of an unfettered straight six is maybe better than a V8. Great video, many thanks.
A great track one of my faves for track days and some seriously nice cars love the fact that these cars get used as well as looked at but very expensive if you make a mistake
It was luck really, they hold regular car test days (see the OP site), it just so happened that lots of oldies happened to be at this one - I think there was a classic saloon race event coming up, so lots of drivers booked in for this to get some setup work done

Great video, thanks very much. The early, pre 'Airflow', Mk1 Lotus Cortinas are just devine!
Looked a lovely day. Great collection of racing cats.
Magic, our Maurice! 😁👍
Classics the right word 😎👌...Thank you sir.

It was a lucky break that there were so many interesting cars there, other test days there's very little worth taking a close look at

A lot of effort and money goes into this hobby. 👍

Agreed, especially when a straight six has minimal silencing
Good to see those Primeras. Still run a 2001 P11 as my everyday driver.
Those super touring cars look like absolute weapons under the skin

Hello OCC, Good video, Just a quick question is there a gate fee to spectate on test days?
Hi, nope, it's free to enter (but no guarantee there'll be anything interesting going on - pot luck!)
