One important note is that if you are planning to use HDMI for both monitors, the upper monitor has a bit of a slow, jumpy framerate due to the windows display stream compression. But, it works great using the USBC to power the displays.
Hi, i have a company laptop and would like to avoid installing drivers, my laptop has two usbc lightning ports so could you power and use the displays with the two monitors using two usbc lightning connection?
@techfulgoodies thanks for the response, just for further clarification, so both screens or just one screen works without the driver? I saw a few reviews on amazon complaining that only one screen worked without the installed drivers? Do you have to use two USB c connections to avoid using the driver? In your review you mentioned the two screens were only usable once the driver was installed?
@@symphonyarmada5747 Well, you got me second guessing myself. I just hooked up my work laptop with one cable and..NOPE 😶it didn't work. Only one screen came on. Sorry about that, I thought it worked on my other machine but I must have installed the drivers. So, no, it will not work without installing the drivers.
If you have a full featured USB-C that supports video, it will power and display both screens with only one cable. But, if you don't have a full featured and want to use HDMI, then yes, the USB-C should power the screen so the HDMI will work
@@techfulgoodies Nice! Also, I have Linux and was wondering if plugging the HDMI for video and type-c for power would work, or the drivers are necessary for this configuration as well. Essentially if it is usable on Linux or not at all
@@ttoommxxmmoott The HDMI requires the drivers for both screens to work. In fact, I have found that using HDMI for both screens cause the upper screen to be a kind of slow framerate so USB-C is recommended. Not sure about Linux.
@@techfulgoodies I just purchased this dual monitor. Thank you for the review. I am only getting one screen to work. What am I doing wrong? I have tried using both the HDMI to HDMI mini and with the USB-C to USB-C together and separately and also even tried to add the additional power supply. Nothing is making the upper monitor display. Keeps saying no signal on the upper one. I have a Microsoft Surface Pro 10.
When you connect it to your computer, it should mount a drive similar to inserting a flash drive and the drivers are on the newly mounted drive. IF that is not working, then you may want to check with the manufacturer customer service.
Nice review However if we want to connect this with office laptop, how can we use two screen. My office does not allow installation of any drivers on its system
I think it would be possible. I don't have two to test BUT I do know that with one single USB-C cable, you can run one set and if you have another full featured USB-C then I would think it would be possible. I think you could also run one on USB-C and one on HDMI but I have found that the HDMI can have issue on the upper screen causing a sort of low framerate.
Can you bend the monitor so that someone sitting on a table, in front of you, can see one of the screens? That seems to be one of it's most useful functions IMO.
Unfortunately no - I agree that would be useful. You can do that with the latest domyfan monitor extender for laptops - it should be one of my latest videos if you want to check it out
Thank you for the prompt response. As that is key, I'll look for one with that specific function--as the updated one that you've mentioned. As there is a Prime sale coming soon, I'll likely get one with the week--and hopefully one with that added function. Again, thanks for the feedback--and your uploads as well.
Yes. Once I fold it, it show the other side as a presentation. I did a pitch on the third screen. I folded it towards the person in front of me and it automatically positioned the screen.

Awesome review! I have been searching for a review of these screens!
Thank you! My hubby threw away the installation instructions by mistake. The driver install is what I was missing

I have it set up right now just using one USB-C port without installing the drivers and it is working just fine. One USB-C will support both monitors.

@@techfulgoodies ok thanks for the clarification.
It needs displaylink tech that means it slows the cpu. Lepow dualviews don't need driver.
wow!nice monitor
Omg! I absolutely love your PlayStation keyboard keys!
Good review! Can this monitor have an alternative HDMI video source on one display and the computer output on the other?
I'm not sure - I'll try to see if I can find some time to test and let you know.

The presentation is very detailed and it looks like a very nice monitor. Work will indeed save space.

Great review. Thank you.
Where do you go for the drivers because nothing popped up for mines

Thanks for the information.
Does anyone know if you can use these monitors with a Samsung Tab S9 Ultra? Thanks in advance.
Hello, we are having problems contecting it to a mac book pro..any tips..only one monitor works, the top one does not work. thanks
Did you install the drivers that came with the monitor? There should be a drive connected when you connect the usbc cable with a dmg installer
mac have a limited amount of extra screens you can connect, not sure what it is
why i cant do the vertical model automactally ? thanks

Since it needs driver for Windows, I wonder if it has driver for Mac?
It does!
