    in the limitation of seismic refraction , we assume that velocity of lower layer is higher. but for having the critical incidence angle the wave must be from higher velocity layer to lower velocity layer. is it not
    contradictory ?

    Sir please how did you get the values for V¹ and V²?

      V1 and V2 are obtained by the inverse of the slope of direct and second wave i.e., refracted wave in the distance-time curve.
