EA Criterion has definitely decided to go out of the box in the NFS franchise with this instalment in our beloved racing game series but if you ask me... that's what Need for Speed is about in the first place. Being unruly and radical is in its very essence & that has always been a key element of NFS during the series' highest highs, does NFS Unbound deliver the Need for Speed experience that you look for? Unbound is here! Only select few knew that I was keeping my expectations relatively low till launch and even though we're only fresh into the honeymoon phase, I feel like Unbound has exceeded my expectations in a lot of aspects. If Criterion can pump out solid updates without huge delays I think we're in for a good ride.. Have you tried Unbound yet? Thoughts?
I didn't play it but i love this game so much!
I haven't seen too much of the game, so I can't say exactly what they got it right or wrong. However, from what I've seen on your video, it looks like they kept some Heat features. Which is a plus mind you. Heard some things were missing out at launch, specially in the multiplayer. So I'm waiting it out for a few patches, and also to get this one on sale. No way in hell I'm going to pay full price. Too expensive for my wallet ^^

the pursuit music in this game is something else
Definitely loving it so far. In comparison to Heat, it feels like a much more well polished game. The pedestrians, cop detection function, fleshed out AI racers, delivery races, and more along those lines, were really nice, unexpected and not entirely necessary additions that really allows the world to come to life. The handling feels great too. It's nice to have full grip setups come back. I've run into a few bugs so hopefully they can keep up with patches and new features. I also kept expectations low which made the experience way better. I'm only at week 3 and using S tier, but I'm surprised to see the AI still remain competitive as well, even on medium. Really looking forward to the future of this game, with the caveat that EA doesn't kill it less than a year again.

Well they did upgrade the graphics, customization, and car list. Physics seems to have gotten a bit worse though but ay it's an arcade racer not a realistic sim game

People hate it on this game because has cartoon effect thats why. but to be honest this game its has much improved handling and graphics also cops are more dangerous too i really give it positive one this. i just want to make sure Dev fix some problem that everyone whats complaining on this game and not abandon like nfs heat

I'm on day 5 of unbound, I love it so much, I love the realistic models + cartoon effects, I love the new insane bodykits on cars, I love the sense of speed, I love how difficult the cops are, I think if we just get more future updates we can have this game going for another couple of years

People always complaining Forza 5 is better than unbound.....bruh u will not get this amount of fun in a Forza game i brought the unbound on December 3rd and have already played for 20hrs whereas Forza 5 which i brought in Autumn sale for 30% off still sitting at 7 hr mark......Forza is just like a simulator with eyecandy graphics whereas playing Unbound gives u total fun.

I was crying at watching this video, clearly unbound is something else!
For me (starting on the 29th and going to the 3rd) I was surprised by how short the game was (at least the direction I went, it could take longer depending if you’re willing to risk it all with like 200K at heat level 5) but still, the game was so good, my only issue was with the crashing (tbf this is Criterion (and while yes part of Criterion is former Ghost employees, hence why the game still has that Ghost flavor) the crashing gives away that some of that old criterion flavor is still there. At least the crash cam is very very short unlike Most Wanted 2012)

I'm happy Criterion is back to making racing games. This game is a start for them. NFS hasn't had a good track record as of late, so I'm hoping Criterion can bring back their 2004 magic. This game isn't a bad start for them, but there's a long way to go for them
