I am looking for a way to connect the Cobra iradar app to my head unit display. Apple carplay does not support the app. Would you happen to know if the elite box does?? If so I will definitely buy one!
Hope you managed to figure out your Elite Car Box 3.0 problem. Ottocast Picasou 2 Pro is much better. With Picasou 2 Pro has an HDMI Input for Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max or for your gaming unit. Picasou 2 Pro also has an HDMI Output to connect to your Laptop, Tablet, or External Monitor. Picasou 2 Pro also does mirroring. It also provides Wireless Apple Car Play and Android Auto. Ottocast Picasou 2 Pro has no restrictions. Either use your vehicles Wi-Fi or your Smart Phone Wi-Fi Hotspot or buy a SIM card and insert into the Picasou 2 Pro. Works with Blue Tooth. It turns any Wired Apple Car Play and/or Android Auto into Wireless. Watch in either 720p or 1080p resolution. Unfortunately, it is not yet 4K video capable but does play audio formats such as MP3, M4A, and WAV.
Thank you for your video. There is not much information about this product, so it is hard for me to decide to buy it. From the few videos I have seen, it sounds like this is just what I am looking for.
Yes i had the same dilemma but I'm happy with the purchase. Thankfully, these companies generally have a return policy. If you end up getting it hope u enjoy and remember to unplug it when you leave your vehicle
@platinum9898 @platinum9898 I just got a 2023 Chevy Silverado with the 13.4" widescreen. It has wired and wireless carplay/android auto. Although, I have never used it because it because it makes me turn off my VPN to work, which is annoying. I have only used Bluetooth audio while watching things on my phone because that is what I am used to on my old car. I am hoping this box will chamge that.
@platinum9898 why do I need to unplug it every time I leave the car? That might be a deal breaker. I want to just hop in my car and have it automatically connect wirelessly to my phone and come up on my screen without plugging stuff in
@@kevinhelfrich1705 well reason being is the usb ports in vehicles can keep power running even with car off so it will leave the device on constantly. Maybe test your usb ports while car is completely off to see. Even if you decide to leave it plugged in you should be fine, i would still try to unplug every now and then to let the device cool down sometimes if your car provides constant power to it while off.
Recently bought this after my Magic Box died for the second time. Here are my thoughts…. First, this is an improvement over the magic box. The screen reacts faster, connects, and overall works. My magic box allowed me to have wireless CarPlay appear on the screen thru the box. This doesn’t seem to, or at least I’ve not yet figured it out. Yes, I can still use the phone via Bluetooth, and it’s perfectly functional. The biggest complaint is that the audio and video don’t match up on any streaming app I’ve used (Netflix, RUclips tv, MLB). It’s super-annoying, and I can’t get used to it. I reached out to customer support over this and was told it was a hardware issue in my vehicle. That’s odd, because my Magic Box didn’t have the same issue. I’ve wondered about trying to change the video compression, but it won’t allow me to do it. Any thoughts?
I've found for wireless car play etc i needed to use my in car wifi or a sim card directly into the box to have a seperate wireless connection that's not my phone's hotspot in order to get wireless car play or in my case android auto to work. That said i don't use that since i rather use the box apps
Also as far as sound delays i have not experienced that issue. I actually had to use the box in order to fix my issues with my stock radio that had major bluetooth delays after and update i did. So i have no clue why you are experiencing that. Both bluetooth audio and direct box streaming audio have no issues for me
Hi! Elite Box is just okay. Get the Ottocast Picasou 2 Pro is much better. Unfortunately, it is not yet 4K video capable as I know of but does play audio formats such as MP3, M4A, and WAV. Get Deja Vue Plus app ($30) for your Amazon TV Fire Stick 4K Max or add to your Smart Phone (Android or iPhone) you now have live TV, movies, Tv series and seasons, LIVE SPORTS (nearly all and anytime and any place) and never miss a Sports Game even if Blacked Out in your Area. NFL, NCAA Football, Basketball, NBA, WNBA, Tennis, WWF, NASCAR, MLB, and more. Better than playing $ hundreds for streaming services. You even get Paramount, Disney, HBO, and other premium services. Deja Vue Plus and save lots of money.
Do you ever get disconnects when driving?I have a regular android auto adapter now and sometimes it lags and disconnects on different routes while drving.
Do you still control your ac and heater through that or no? I have a 2018 Ram 3500 and the screen/radio is shot (a known issue) Mopar will send me a new radio but wondering if this replaces that or does this connect to the in-car radio/screen? Thanks for the video.
I just love these videos when they say how fast they move , how they are the best on the market. I brought the 11 because of videos like this but once I got to playing around it I was very unhappy with my purchase. Please don’t tell me how fast it is telll me about the apps you can download. Show me in real time the upload and download speeds. The 11 takes so long to download updates, just a nightmare. One day Netflix is there and next it’s gone. Please read the fine print . They make it very hard to return. So if this box is so great why make it so hard to return or so hard speak to a live person on the phone.
When you play music, can you control the song? Like if you wanted to either fast forward the same song or go to a point in a song? My current apple carplay doesn’t allow that. Thanks
Tbh i usually use my phone. But I'm pretty sure you can from the interface click the music icon. In the worst case you can download the music app you like. Example spotify onto the box. If u have problems downloading apps directly from play google play store, you can search for an online apk download of the app you need on the web browser. Same goes for doing updates.
@@PapiLoveCrypto yeah that’s what I do. I can control the song specifically through the cell phone, but it would be more convenient to do it from the actual touch grade itself, which again for some reason doesn’t allow that but allows other touchscreen portions to be utilized, which is strange. I don’t know if it’s an android thing or an apple thing.
I also run into issues connecting android auto if im using the same phones hotspot to connect the box to wifi. I don't use that feature anyway. The box can do everything on it's own

Can you connect a firestick in the little mini hdmi the box has??
I have not attempted this but seems like it's just an hdmi out port so probably wouldn't do anything.

It does that sometimes when you go over bumps or potholes. Maybe place it in a more secure place where it wont move or wiggle while you drive.

No, think of it as another version of car play/android auto but with more apps. It basically replaces the car play function
Can you watch youtube while driving?

How can I get it to play on my rear screen of my yukon
HDMI cord
How has it held up ?
Great, works as advertised. I unplug it every time i leave my truck as per company recommendations and it's as good as day 1. Starts up fast.
Does it still play while in motion
Yes
Can you make it full screen?
It automatically is full screen. Depending on your screen size it automatically goes as big as possible.
Looks great. Ordered one.
Nice! How do you like it?
Would it work for a kenwood aftermarket radio?
No, it says right on their website not yet compatible with aftermarket radios
For me it’s a mission to set up every time. Now it won’t even connect to my iPhone. $300 down the drain
If you're trying to connect to play music or videos try clicking the phone icon then within that screen click on the music icon.
