I've watched this movie multiple times and it has always warmed my heart. My grandfather and his siblings once lived in an orphanage in Hawaii. They never spoke about their time staying in the orphanage or why they ended up having to live there. I was happy though to see how strong they were as adults, even with their difficult childhood experience.
my late husband was also in an orphanage. I also have a few friends that were there too. everyone only has good memories of those days. they appreciated the orphanage. rather there than at the parents' home which was not good.
I hope the kid actors playing Abigail and David keep up their craft; they're actually more natural than some of the adult actors, to me. Plus I love Candice Cain Christmas movies! ☺️ Thanks for the upload 🙏

It's Tali That was a great movie so many kids are looking for loving homes not just for Christmas it was great to see wonderful people how open there homes for those kids.
Story was heart warming and just what we needed to be reminded that many children all over the world need families, love, hope and care by people opening their homes. Wonderful time to bring this out (Christmas). Excellent movie. Lois stringham

I like the show it was good. But they should have let them have the party and then let him have Christmas and stop there. This is my opinion. They all were good actors and actresses. It tug up my heart strings. Take care and God bless.
Somebody made the comments this movie doesn't have the best acting and maybe it's true, but the acting covers the basics. But the reason I like the move so much is that it really covers some great lessons in both an obvious way but also in an important subtle way. Obviously is covers the critical message that if we are our brothers keeper, then we must take action to manifest this idea especially in times of millions of refugees and the highest number of homeless families and orphans in modern times. But the subtle lessons are just important. The central character is "not" the cliche beautiful teen like Lindsay Lohan and dozens of others that don't represent most if the real teens that are either body shamed for being over weight or a viable minority etc. It also covers so many other subtle things like the teen befriending the foster kids is quote in quote and quintessential geek, but that's excepted as ok in this movie. Even the big sister loyalty to her little brother of unconditionally staying with her brother and not considering being split up to get a faster adoption is a great lesson to teach and remind us all on the lesson of integrity of character and loyalty. This is simply a great movie to remind us of good character and sharing with kids and teens to foster great conversations. ~ The Positive Musicologist

My American buddies invited me over and told me that they could offer me a rent-free place to stay in a suburb of San Diego, California, and in downtown Austin, Texas ... Being on a tight budget, I would be able to visit only one of those states ... Which of them do you think I should choose and why? My main interests are practicing my American English with native speakers, visiting natural wonders and meeting single women searching for a life partner. (I sure hope that American women are as nice and caring as they are portrayed in all those Hallmark movies). Also, my friends suggested that I learn to use some US slang or I won’t be able to communicate with the local residents on a proper level but I’m not sure if it’s worth the effort … Won’t Americans be trying to express their thoughts in plain English seeing that they are dealing with a foreigner? Your advice would be greatly appreciated ...

Forget the slang. It changes before you know it. It's not real communication. Yes, they ought to be trying to talk to you plainly.
