The real success of Heartland was and still is the Amy and Ty love story. The dating in season 17 especially Amy's relationship with Nathan is simply the writers attempt to keep the storyline interesting, and not boring. I believe if Ty comes back to the show Heartland will continue with Ty, Amy and Lindy together again. If he doesn't return the writers will conclude the series with Amy unable to accept another(not just because Ty can't be replaced} because of her continuing strong love and feelings for Ty. She will conclude that her peace and happiness is with her as a single mother raising Lindy in the manner Ty would have wanted. In my opinion, because we had 14 years of this remarkable love story, whereby the viewers got to intimately know Ty, it makes it nearly impossible to erase him from the viewers minds and on a larger scale future Heartland seasons.
Yes, it will be great to bring Ty back as if all series without him was a nightmare that Amy had. I will be interested to see this series again if Ty comes back.
They both did an interview earlier this year and the first question was asked they responded by saying no tie is not coming back this is a gimmick that they play every year to get the people to come back and watch heartland they should never have gotten rid of him he was bullied by Michelle Morgan and others and Amber didn't do anything about it

I love his podcasts and his poetry and all the other things he does for so many people. If he has made this choice to return then he put a lot of thought and was guided to do so. They should pay top dollar to get Ty back under contract to commit to staying at least until the show has run its course. Maybe a few more years. His character could come back from being away on a secret mission involving horses stolen from a royal family.

Then a caption came on the screen which said one year later, Amy rides to the house and was remembering what the doctor had said, but what he had to say that and the Urn that was given to Amy had something else in there not Ty’s ashes. The writers and producers can find away, if Graham wanted to come back, which I think he should for his fans if this is the last season to end Heartland on a good note. Heartland is what got him to where he is now. Then they can all go do what makes them happy, just my opinion

I feel it was much worse and he was denied to do any production work on set when he has a degree and the rest of the bully actors are promoted and are not educationally qualified.
