      @@IgnacioVeutroProductions just one query though, as regards to where the car was stopped, in your video its outside the blue building, to the left of the monument, in other videos they state its 100meters further up the road to the right of the monument at the bend and the car stopped where the monument is situated.

      @IgnacioVeutroProductions  6 дней назад

      @@HOOKmusicUK Thank you for your comment, it helps us all know more about the story.
      What you say may be correct. After WW2, the place was substantially modified, the curve where the commandos ambushed Heidrich changed its radius and size, a pedestrian tunnel was made under it, the street where the car was stopped was transformed into a highway, and so on, making it difficult to find the exact spot where the car finally stopped. That is why many of the superimpositions of historical and current images are approximate since there are places that have changed so much that they do not seem the same.

    Well done- except for the images at the "Heydrich Curve." The curve was altered after the war. The actual stopping site of Heydrich's car is near the bus stop shelter seen at 2:14. The 1942 road came straight down over that sunken 'open' area before making a hairpin turn to the right. The modern exit ramp was a wooded area in 1942.

    When the British first contacted the Czech resistance about this operation, they told them they were mad. The Czechs knew what horrible consequences the attack would have on the civilians. Churchill knew this very well, even counted on it to turn the public more against the occupiers. In his eyes, things were a bit too calm in that particular occupied area. It needed a bit of a stir. There is still a visible sing of fighting on church walls. You can see that outside of church around windows to crypt where they were hiding.

      @milosgavenda9018, thank you for watching. You are right, the aftermath of the war remains in many corners of the city, one of them is the Saints Cyril and Methodius Orthodox Cathedral Church.
      Greetings from Argentina.

    Was the operation worth it? It did save lives? Was it worth sacrificing so many people for one man?

      Your question is difficult to answer in a quite different context, more than 80 years after that event.

      Well, some czech historicians say that if it was not this operation there is probably no Czechoslovakia after ending WWII. The exile czechoslovak diplomacy had a real good argumentation then for developing a pressure on the great powers and make them declare the Munich Agreement invalid. God knows that such argumentation was redeemed by blood of the elite, by the best of the bests of my country.
